    Amen to that I would personally just get another Bosch, avoid the cheaper alternatives. Maybe you are cursed? I know the constant heating / cooling in the engine bay does eventually take its toll on the coil packs I cant see it being a factor after 2 years so I would say you have just been unlucky

    @c00k may be able to offer some help here, he has rebuilt his supercharger. I am sure he either created a dedicated topic on the forum on this subject, or there was something in his build thread - worth taking a look in the mean time?

    Alright mate - unusual, I have had my genuine bosch coil pack on for over 8 years and has been perfect. Are these new coil packs you are buying each time? Surely would be covered under some form of warranty if the item was new from a reputable source? Pete

    Quick update. Car is back together now and runs nicely. Replaced bonnet cable yesterday as it has seen better days. Horrible job on the Corrado and almost impossible to get right first time. As you can see I took precautions. After 3rd go it released lovely

    Have spent a few hours on it today, changed oil, oil filter, replaced air in take pipe as it had some previously patched up repairs. Also repositioned air filter a little higher. Before: After: Doesn't appear to be as exposed to the elements now.

    Do we have any Red Dwarf fans on here? I watched the first episode of the new XI series yesterday on Dave Catchup and it was smegging brilliant! Felt like I was watching an old episode from Series 5 - 6 ! and much better than the last series I watched Have you watched the new series yet?     What a nightmare. We suffered a flash flood in Stoke on my way home from work. Long and short is that I sucked up a lot of water into the engine. Luckily the engine still turned over and didn't hydro lock. Was crawling at the time. Luckily after about 20 minutes the plugs dried out enough to start and get me home (eventually). The storm was a strange one, left houses without water and power up my way and cars floating away on other roads near by! There was a lot of water sitting in my intake pipe. The way
