  3. Well, lets get some banter going and talk about our man caves!!! The garage! Here is mine; I've recently double glazed it, planning on insulating throughout and re-doing the floor, painting walls white make the car look good! Needs a bloody good clean out though!
  4. Probably not that much difference in labour to be honest give TONYVRT a message on here for a price. Oil coolers are about 30 quid from VWSpares for a febi one. Just fitted one to my corrado.
  5. Awesome. Are you coming the RR day?
  6. Surely it would be better to do the head gasket mate? Who's to say it won't blow on a new engine in a months time? It's a fairly straight forward job to do the head gasket and then you have peice of mind as opposed a bunch of unknowns from a replacement engine.
  7. That boot looks awesome, he'd make a killing if he knocked up some corrado wings! How long till its on the road then mate? Will it be ready for the rolling road day in june?

  11. How long did you leave it until you started the car from connecting the plug / reconnecting the battery? It's possible it didn't complete a throttle body "adaptation" you can do this via vag-com, or unplug battery for a bit, turn ignition on, you will hear the motor buzz and make noises, once it starts, you can then start the car... Just out of interest, what did you clean with, and have you checked basics like throttle cable and gaskets to ensure refitted correctly?
  12. Here's a few snaps from SantaPod on Sunday! Little one loved it as much as I did! It drove really well, coolant / oil temps good... next on the list is: Stealth Racing Remap Stealth Racing "active" 4-wheel alignment fix my rear spoiler and speed sensor fault (possibly both related as spoiler doesn't raise at 55MPH) oil change for syntha silver Bring on the next event
  13. Bet you cant wait drive it once it's done had a look through your whole build thread and its come along way! well done
  14. One of the main reasons is that you don't get heat soak like you would with a cone filter, and also when you drive sensibly it doesn't sound daft loud, but when put that foot down it does sound like the gates of hell have opened
  15. Yeah, you can scan the engine codes, the OBD port "should" be situated under the gear stick surround, lets hope that it was converted properly and the OBD daignostice interface has been wired up could be a few things, but at least you will be able to make informed decisions once you have plugged in the diagnostics, it will be a process of elimination otherwise...
  16. Hi mate, Welcome Love white Corrados, the black room really set's it off, personally I think some maybe lighter alloys would set it off lovely! but hey, it still looks goooood I've just got my Corrado on the road after rebuilding for 4 years! drives really well, and much better than my mk2 VR6 ever did...... Thinking about your problem, the Heater controls and Bowden cables are prone to failing, the plastic tabs on the back of the heater controls snap, and then your Bowden cables do not move..... You can pay upto £80 for second hand "working" heater controls, I managed to source one of the
