    Today saw the final piece of the puzzle fall into place, took all interior out, wet vac everything, and gave it a deep clean, also had the mops out and gave the bodywork a going over again as it had picked up some scratches / swirl marks in the garage, will be picking up a car cover tomorrow. Also fitted my updated head light loom today, what a difference it makes! Not everything went well though, noticed one of the rear seat bases didn't want to latch properly, upon closer inspection revealed this mess! Any ideas on fixing appreciated

    Hi mate. Suppose you need to find your baseline, get a power run first of all see where you stand, the schimmel 263's have given some great results on the corrados with a remap, some making 21BHP after a mapping session at Stealth Racing. If your running below expected power after just a dyno run, VCDS might give you some useful information, most places would have VCDS running when doing the run to collect some data which could show a failing sensor or something else As it is an "unknown" engine, you just don't know how healthy it is until you see some figures and go from there ?

    Hi mate. There is a detailed guide on doing this in the knowledge vault, as you are a club member, it probably is a good place to start Those oil cooler seals are a common fault easy job if you have front end off, clutch, I'd just go for a good quality standard. I've just installed a new Valeo clutch kit, I'd also recommend installing a new slave cylinder too while your there, mine is really smooth now.

    There's also a procedure you can do on VCDS that checks your injectors too. Let me try dig it out

Thought its time I got a cover, it will be kept in the garage but gets dusty and brushed up against... Do I need a medium or large for the corrado?     I'd always recommend upgrading to obd2 it is a more efficient setup.

    Would have thought so, if anything it would be a lot smoother, that was one thing I noticed with my corrado once I converted to obd2

    I've had a mk3 vr6, mk2 vr6 and now on a corrado vr6, I love them for different reasons, but I'm totally smitten with my corrado, don't invisage me selling any time soon, it will a keeper, will just keep restoring it until its a minter, by then it should be well on the way to being a classic :-)

    We have installed a new feature to the website VR6OC Instant Chat! It works in a similar way as Facebook Chat does. You can also send files to each other!     I do recall reading this a while back and thought it was pretty extreme... would be interesting to see before and after RR results to see if it was worth the hassle
