  1. Hi All, I've been busy testing new bits on the website, I've never been 100% happy with how new forum posts are displayed, so I've knocked up the following: Would be good to have some feedback and if you think it should be added as a "New Forum Posts" link: Here is the URL to the test page! http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/onlineinfo_menu/new.php Cheeers Pete
  2. I'll start I work in IT managing new customer migrations and a team of application packagers for a company called Atos. What do you do?
  3. Should be able to manually operate the flap where the Bowden cable attaches though?
  4. On the corrado the flap is on the drivers side, I'm sure if you look at the heater matrix replacement guide that Tony did it may identify which side it is on with the golf
  5. Yeah they are used to seal the ducting, but I lost most of mine when doing the corrado and the heaters still blow really hot! I suspect you have a flap problem lol
  6. awesome, do you have any before and after? I need to sort my steering wheel out, its as shiny as Duncan Goodhew after a swimming marathon!
  7. Awesome, that's great news when its just a simple thing so many people neglect this simple stuff and totally destroys the handing
  8. After many months of discussing and planning the clubs future, we have some solid plans to make 2013 a really good year for all club members. This is a key year for VR6OC following poor attendance at some of the club events during the last couple of year, however we put this down to the recession, cost of attending events such as fuel cost, and people moving on with their lives / cars. Looking ahead to 2013 A key objective for 2013 is to bring back the "club feeling" and encourage everyone to attend events, we appreciate that not everyone is keen on the "big shows" such as Ultimate Dubs, GTI
  9. I've linked it up with my facebook account so if you want to play, add me on FB - Pete Leese i'm comin for ya!
  10. Usually you can hear the flap "switching" have you got under the dash and manually move the lever? I suppose the next logical step would be to start stripping things out of the car if your 100% sure you have a flow through the matrix?
  11. nice! what camber are you running on the front? looks insane!
  12. looking clean that mate whats next on the list? wheels look lush too!
  13. This looks great, we are hoping to arrange an event at brooklands this year too.
  14. This is a little bit of a mystery mate! I have to admit... I was thinking to heater bowden cable, but if you have manually turned it from blowing cold to hot on the heaterbox from under the dashboard then I'm stumped! Especially if both the matrix pipes are getting hot.... it almost sounds like a fault in the heaterbox and it switching from cold / hot ?
  15. Hi mate, I had loads of that stuff over the engine bay of my old MK3 VR6 too, cam cover, plastics, coilpack, HT leads..... I think VW use it on coilpack as an epoxy resin sort of thing, you'll never get it off Looks like someone has really gone to town on yours Probably would be easier to get new plastics in all honestly.
  16. Is it an M45 or M90? M45 = too small, but you can do it with an M90... MMlde3agtcc personally, its more hassle than its worth, and would advise going with a Vortech / Rotrex setup designed specifically for the VR6 lump...
  17. has your bulb gone? Stick a multi-meter on the terminals of the bulb and see if get a "spike" in the voltage
