  1. haha, I was soo gutted when I heard yesterday about them splitting up, it was like the spice girls splitting up all over again
  2. hi mate, that's the one we used too, and the only sketchy bit I got was the aux pump wiring causing a short, I had a few other issues that made it look like the temp sensor wasn't working, but the gauge had a fault in the end Only thing I can recommend is to run the new loom in, connect everything up so you know what to strip out (I think everyone has their own way of working.....) and keep it to one side, make sure it all runs, no VCDS fault codes etc..... before you wrap the loom up, Im sure I still have a few spare plugs myself, even on my new loom, but before I want to be 100% happy befor
  3. Tts pretty much it.... Don't recall seeing passes for this event for club displays, some events do have show passes that e send on to members, however there is an element of trust involved I suppose
  4. Rest in scrap heaven. Was a cracking car back in the day mate. Think of the space though
  5. I think you can solder a new motor on to the board, but don't think I would DIY it..... I've seen companies who can correct mileage on the clocks, but the price is eye watering
  6. This is the best time of the year as everyones cars are coming out the garage again
  7. It's good to see more VR's from over the pond bring some mates along too great looking VR by the way!
  8. Everyone is allowed mate Not sure why you would think your not allowed? are you both down both days and camping, or just sunday?
  9. Yeah, its starting to look good, I want to look at new header tank, but they are obsolete now for Corrado, and after market ones don't last that long.... it has come a very long way over the last 4 years, and still has a long way to go in terms of the bodywork, but that's only minor, time to insure and enjoy the car! looking at trying Lynbrook - http://www.lynbrookins.co.uk/ for a quote, other corrado boys have had some good quotes from these, with mods, limited 4k mileage and garaged overnight all good.
  10. It's true!! It passed and its almost finished. Just need swap headlight glass and crank sensor
  11. hi buddy, how are you accessing this? You can get to it from clicking your name in the userbar and selecting "click here to see new items" and also from Forum > "What's New?" This display the new items since you last logged in, you can get to recent activity through Forum > "Recent Activity" all of this uses a totally different bit of code from the original problem so just interested to know a bit more about this It will display the last 50 items, currently.... looking to extend this further.
  12. Cant believe it, but The 'Ring is actually for sale! approx 125 million euros Worrying times.... more information on the following link: http://bridgetogantry.com/2/index.php/home/news/497-the-ring-is-for-sale-and-it-s-scaring-me Pete
  13. I do believe there is a small adjustment screw on them, but to me doesn't sounds good... You'll need drop the sub frame, remembering to change the stretch bolts too I think the VR6 is a specific rack... UK ones were a TRW rack, I almost ordered the wrong rubber bush and bracket to replace my knackered one when doing my sub-frame refurb...
  14. Mmm the only thing I can think of is a vacuum leak or maybe the blue temp sensor as this feeds back to the ECU... Doing a quick google revealed these threads: http://media.corrado-club.ca/tech/vacuumhose_stalling.pdf https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&client=safari&q=+site:vr6oc.com+vr6+blue+temp+sensor&sa=X&ei=mtRIUYjfKoeZ0AW4toHADQ&ved=0CFIQrQIwAw&biw=320&bih=505 Take a look not sure how much these are these days though...
  15. Hi mate, sorry I can't remember if yours is an Odb1 or Odb2? Have you had it on VCDS?
  16. Cheers mate! Well it passed as you know, so here's a little something to mark the occasion... When I got it, it was a non runner, knackered heater matrix, head gasket had gone and the timing chains needed doing.... I knew it would be an uphill struggle, but didn't realize it would be a 4 year battle Engine bay was looking like it would look quite at home in a scrap yard! The bodywork looked like it had been cleaned with wet and dry for the last 10 years! After many years of, what I would call restoration given the state it was in when I got it, it now has a new lease of life, passed it's
  17. Quite a shopping list there, can't wait see this take shape get some pics up.
  18. That's annoying that, especially when you have commitments to make paying bills etc... I know when this has happened to be in the past, I was offered a "loan" from the company that I had to repay as they moved the dates considerably.
  19. I love reading stories like this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2295642/1954-F1-Mercedes-fetch-5m-auction-abandoned-warehouse-3-decades.html
  20. I'm not sure what time the gates open, but signing in for the strip starts at 9, however in the past I've had people turning up a little later but you cant guarantee other clubs have stolen our spaces where club displays overlap.... I'd have thought 9am would be the best time to aim for?
  21. looks tidy that mate what wheels are they?
  22. I had a pulling to the left issue, took months of parts swapping until I identified it was the steering rack, the biggest mistake I made was getting a non genuine VW rack, it lasted just over a year before I but the bullet and got one from VW.
