VW magnecor. they also have a repair service so when I mashed my mk3 I my coilpack took a massive hit and damaged almost all my HT leads. I kept them. Sent them off and for about 20 came back good as new! Not many people know about there repair service so if your worried about damaging you can rest assured you can get them fixed cheaply

yep, engine management. if its a newer car its probably gone into limp modea and further diagnostics will be required.

Agree with the above. Totally changes the VR6. Don't worry about your first 2 questions, they will be the last thing on your mind when you drive it. I'm just about get my new gearbox rebuilt with a g60 FD, had one in my last VR's and really miss the punch in the face when you accelerate when I went back to a standard gearbox.. You'll need a bolt fitting kit ideally.. http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/vw/acatalog/Wavetrac_Differentials.html 9th item down. Get new seals / bearings, your looking at about 70 -80 quid for bearings, details as follows; Diff Bearings KLM300849/KLM300811 (You need 2) U

I think FishWick has done a complete transplant in his corrado with the later setup and ditched the compensator valve etc... -

looks nice mate, deffo need to start modding, couple of turbos, or at least a good remap and exhaust system with BMC to compliment the engine note

pretty sure there is no difference in the corrado box and the golf in the UK... think it was only in counteries where they had to be more restrictive due to emissions they had a tweaked gearbox.

Honestly thought there was something different with the 16v' date=' it's not just the final drive you need according to stealth racing. Apparently you need the shaft which has the 4 bolts coming from it too. Don't know if they are the same for all boxes that have the 3.68 in them? I'm sticking to what I know. Box is going to stealth in the next few weeks to be built up [/quote'] Are you having the 3.64 FD then No. 3.68 from a g60 box mate with a rebuilt box, new bearings, seals etc..

You need a 3.68 final drive from a g60. 16v is to short.. You also need ARP bolts to replace the factory fitted rivets. Just about to do mine at the mo

My last vr6 was 221bhp; Shrick VGI 2.9 wossner pistons rebuilt stealth racing engine Schrick big valve head Stock cams Race land 6 branch Bmc cda Miltek exhaust Decat Stealth racing remap Your looking at about 4 - 5k easy! Head was a grand, schrick was a grand, pistons were nearly 900 quid and that's without labour! If your going down the NA route consider a 3.68 final drive. Cheaper and produces excellent results!
