There is specialist caliper paint readily available on-line / in stores, but its all in the preparation and ensuring that rust etc.. would advise to remove from car for the best job and use wire brush etc... to remove old rust. Make sure you don't get any on the pistons and bleed nipples so mask them off.

Where about is the hole? front or rear of the car? It probably has been jacked up incorrectly if front of the car in a previous life, most ars of the age they are now will have similar problems, some not so bad some much worse. It doesn't look terminal but obviously needs to be fixed but until you start to poke around you wont know what you are faced with

VR6Pete replied to ASHP89's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Doh. Yeah not good. No idea what brand they are? Usually easily to identify and sometimes able to get Spring direct from manufacturers. -

Probably just a bush or something mate. Best advise is to get it on Ramp to inspect. What was the outcome from the visit to the garage? -

Knocking, grinding/rubbing noise from front
VR6Pete replied to ASHP89's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
If it was started from cold, VR6's do whine a little until oil thins out a little when upto temp. so if its stopped after a little while then should be ok. When do you get these noises? pulling off? reverse? full lock? -
Only a matter of time. Scum!

[SOLD] Vortech V2 Supercharger
VR6Pete replied to Mulberry VR's topic in Exhaust and Performance parts
I have a vortech v1 and a 2.75" pulley producing 9PSI with 380cc injectors and pulling 294BHP. I would expect similar figures for this depending on pulley size and of course if it has an upgraded impeller. I have standard head gasket too. -
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I watch this at least once a week!

One thing people have avoided is head gasket [emoji85] hopefully not but easiest way to test is getting a tester for presence of hydro carbons in coolant system and see. Also check oil cooler too as usually common failure too
