    There is a switch indeed, it fairly visible visible switch that you should be able to see on the arm of the peddle - take a look, its might have just popped off, or worse snapped / broken it so you are right on the money. I'm sure if you posted in the wanted section of the website someone would sort you out with a second hand one

    When I did my transmission overhaul - I fitted a vaelo clutch kit - comes with everything that's needed. Picked up a clutch fork from VW at a cost between £11 - £15. Job done, if you have already replaced slave cylinder already the should be good for a long time to come

    That's what it's about mate. Least you can get it fixed I put mine on to see if things are looking ok before my mapping session. Glad everyone had a great day. I enjoyed it immensely [emoji106]🏻[emoji106]🏻

    Yeah it's not a nice job. Wear gloves and apply wet. Helps a lot. You will also need some metal ties (lots of them). I've had a stainless manifold for years on all my VR's and never had one crack. They would usually only crack if you have bad engine mounts with excessive engine movement putting stress on the manifold.

    Best advice is to remove the gearbox and inspect. Clutch fork are common for splitting and you loose ability to engage clutch.

    I've heard stories with them cracking. If it's off the car currently then recommend that you wrap it or have it ceramic coated. Apply the wrap whilst it's wet!
