  1. With regards to supercharger v's turbo... A few things to look consider. * with turbo, you will require more internal work unless running lower boost. * Guarantee if you have a SC VR6 and then jump into a VR6T you will instantly want a turbo * Generally costs more money for a good turbo kit (Stealth Racing for example). * Super charging is generally less stressful to the engine than turbo. I've just got a V1 with an upgraded pulley, injectors etc... and should give some power.
  2. Sorry to hear your selling! Onwards and upwards though mate Good luck with the sale.
  3. Hi mate. Maybe good if you can post photos of the plugs ?
  4. It would be done sooner, however I'm out the county for a couple of weeks literally a day after GTI festival so it's just gotta wait! [emoji24]
  5. haha they are my mates shoes from before I bought it ! I'll hopefully be RWYB at GTI Festival this year, doubt I will have it all fitted for then though so will be running NA
  6. No. Only the map would be specific to obd1 / obd2... Only other difference is if you have air/com or not.
  7. Sure mate. No problem at all. I don't think the shape is that important. It's the bolt holes and width / offset of pulleys in relation to the charger position [emoji106][emoji862]
  8. It adds tension to the belt otherwise you will get belt slip. Here's a quick drawing of how it would look on the tensioner.
  9. Ok. It's a dual idler. Reduces belt slip = higher boost Be surprised if you can get one as I say. So let me know if you want any dimensions
  10. Cool. You'll just need idler, spacers and longer alternator bolts. Mine came with a 2.75" pulley, 380cc and a mapped ECU but will take it stealth get mapped eventually.
  11. Good man. Keep an eye on my build thread. I'm posting up my progress / updates
  12. Which photo mate? I have the one in the second photo....
  13. So, got part of the intake back Before (sorry crap photo): After: Looking swish! Also now I know how the belt should be installed for dual idler pulley: This is quite important as I still don't know what length belt I need [emoji23]
  14. We had a poor turn out last year despite a good number of members committing so will not organise a club stand if there is not a lot of interest. M I'll be going anyway but would be nice to hang out together [emoji106][emoji862]
  15. Hi mate. I have a V1 that I'm currently installing. Few things, make sure you weld the AN fitting into the sump instead of tapping, you'll have leaks otherwise and peace of mind. Make sure it's 100% complete. I thought mine was complete. It was not and have had to have a few bits fabricated up. If you have photos I can tell you if anything is missing. I'd recommend you get it mapped not sure on the software if you can get it off the shelf anymore. MAF. Yes you should run the it at least 18" away from the intake on the charger to avoid stalling issues... Usually would fit behind the bumpe
  16. Wow makes my 380cc injectors that I've got with my charger kit seem pitiful [emoji23]

    hi all

Welcome to the club mate [emoji106][emoji862]
  18. You'll almost defiantly need one guaranteed. Do you have the AMS style bracket? If so, you'll need 115mm alternator bolts and some spacers too... In all fairness, doesn't look too much to knock up something basic like below; Or dual idler pulley like I have. Happy to draw the outline and provide some dimensions to you.
  19. My V1 kit was missing a few bits like spacers for idler pulley and spacer plate for the supercharger bracket that I had to get fabricated up
  20. I don't. But try superchargerrebuild.com, I'll be honest, you'll be lucky get one on its own...
  21. Hellllo! Any more lurkers out there who are brave enough to say hello?
  22. Anyone up for this? Would need to book a plot if so. Looking for a minimum of 10 guaranteed cars before I book. Cheers Pete
