Gotta get that start perfect!!! Then gotta get that gear change perfect!!

I know i'll be stripping next year!
Good laugh though, I really enjoyed racing against @Farhad for the day. I hope our rivalry (and the cars) are still there for next year!

What a brilliant day! Was good to catch-up with old faces and new members

I spent most of the day on the drag strip and was happy with my 14.0 @ 104mph.

Still lots of practice needed improving my launches

Many thanks to everyone for supporting the club we had around 13 cars so really good day!

If you run on the strip then post your times here too:)

Thanks a lot for all responses Gents !!!!!!!

That is certainly very helpful. I agree there is little braking in the back but I would like to be coherent with the braking both front and rear.

Also, one more question. With the larger Cupra Brembo rotors and calipers and with the bigger raking force, won´t the ABS jump quicker as well?

    All have a great one

Or you can go the full hog and get a conversion kit from epytec and fit Porsche brembo rear calipers but you will still need to use your original calipers set up aswell for the handbrake. This is a cool kit but expensive.

I can't seem to decide which of the two I should go with. Schimmel main bearings have oil grooves on both halves where oem only has it on one bearing half. I'm just worried of what the schimmel bearings are made out of compared to the oem material.
Any advice or info will be greatly appreciated.

i have a set of used samco hoses - one of them is a bit faded in colour where battery leaked on to it. Im sure they came off a corrado as the rad hose angle is incorrect for my mk3 VR6

Hi peeps, how did it go?? I am a body man and to me that would of been a way bigger hole by the time he had prepped the are for the new metalbum to go in. The only way to KILL rust is to, either cut it out an inch further back from the rust;or get it acid dipped/media blasted. Rust is a cancer of the metal.
The metal that is replaced should be a part of a new panel or sheet that has been elecroplated; not a sheet of bare tin!!!
This is because the sheet metal has been standing in a cold work shop exposed to the atmosphere. So your basically putting an infected part back in for it to breed..But this is probably me being anal ??.oh and  Then Wax oil the s!@# out of it. Also zinc acid primer on the joins before welding as this helps to expel the oxygen from the weld too lower the risk of metal oxidation caused by the heat.
