Noooooo! Definately think the vr (and most others for that matter) look so much better with 'clean' sides!
-
He he, top stuff, glad to see we are holding our own!

I know I know, but like I said it is VERY rare that I do it 8o) and it WAS very quiet and etc etc! I joined at J7 between Stevenage and Baldock. You know it?

The first thing I would suggest, after the headunit would be a set of component speakers for the front. These will make the biggest noticeable difference to your sound quality at the mo. As for the sub and amp, the possibilities are huge. I have had a sony xplode package for over 2 years now and I know there are supposed to be poo, but I prefer quality rather than noise too and they are perfectly adequate for my needs, yet can still vibrate all mirrors and seats if I want em too!

Have to agree on this one - my water temp is always at vertical and oil temp 90-95

Right now Ive got my PC and Internet sorted at last, I thought id come back and share this with you! Driving home from work last night (about midnight) I innocently overtook a nice mk2 golf and a Civic type r through town on a 2 lane stretch. Dont know if they were together but straight away they both decided to come hairing past me in the next 10 secs. Now I very rarely bother racing, but as it was so late and very little traffic about, I thought id see what would happen! Anyway coming out of town I pull up behind them at a roundabout before joining the A1(M) and decide to see if they wante

Yep, im well up for this too as a bit of fun!

Thats not good. My sister-in-law reversed mine into a parked car during the week. Thank goodness it was only a dent in the rear quarter and bumper dents and scuffs. Im lucky my brother can deal with it. I feel for you.
-
What some people will do eh?!!
-
Dont think they would do a full end respray, BUT your local one may know someone else who would be able to much cheaper than the normal. My brother has a guy who specialises in dents and they regularly give work to each other and the results really are impressive. http://chipsaway-online.co.uk/ Thats the link to my bro's website - it should have the national number for you to locate your local guy. Just had a look and it only has his details - give him a ring (Hes extremely friendly and tell him I sent you!) and he will put in touch with who you need or chat with you about exactly what it
-
Can I suggest you give your local chips away a call. They will come to you (work or home) and give you a free quote. My brother started his franchise last year and its quite surprising what he can achieve and at a fraction of the cost of body shops.

My 'daily drive' is a Renault diesel van - no power steering, crappy heater and uncomfortable seats etc etc. Its so nice getting back in the vr - I often take it out just for a drive!

Yep, nice to find so many people with a genuine passion and who are ready and willing to help out folks with very little knowledge like myself!

My electric windows are not working!
adeingolf replied to adeingolf's topic in Frequently Asked Questions
I last used the window at the weekend, havent knocked it or anything to my knowledge, but it has just stopped working! Thanks for the advice, if it wasnt pissing down id have a look now! -
Ive now got a problem with my drivers side electric window not working. The passenger side is fine and I belive they are on the same fuse, so I have ruled that out. I can hear the switch working and a click from I presume the relay. Is it likely to be a worn out motor? Anyone know if there is anything else to try or how much it would be to replace?

Ive had exactly the same problem with mine this week. Had my local mechanic have a look while he was working on my van and he thought it was the boot light staying on, so he disconnected it. Same thing happened though and ive traced it to my amp staying on! Does the boot light stay on for a while like the interior light? And does anyone know why my amp would suddenly stay on permanently?

replacing factory fit speakers?
adeingolf replied to dragongreen mike's topic in I.C.E, Security an Electrical
How is the wiring in the vr6 though? Its a tweeter and a main speaker. Does the wirering from the main speaker go to the crossover, or do you take the main wire from the headunit and if so, where abouts from? Ie do I need to run new wires from the headunit, or is the existing wire easy to get to, before it splits to the two speakers? (Does that make sense?!) -
Bugger, cant get photos up! Anyone got a "dummies guide" how to put photos on here?!! Seem fine when this post is previewed, but as soon as its put on the forum, red x's! ~ [ Edited Sat Jan 24 2004, 03:42PM ]
