No set distance - currently averaging 1200 miles a week !! Driving an ML 270cdi at the moment with about 30 mpg !! If you need to know you're nearest fuel station in Scotland / north England I'm yer man !!

Be careful if you've topped your car up with a lot of water recently - it's nearly time for the anti freeze !!!!! Well it is up here anyway in the north.

I had Pirelli P7000 on my car - they were pretty good- had difficulty in getting tyres recently - nobody stocked Z rated tyres in 15 inch (standard alloys) ended up getting Avon ZV1's just in time for MOT. They seem OK but I haven't really driven them hard yet.

I got my bentley manual from www.vwbooks.co.uk They are based in Telford so postage easy and they attend a lot of shows.

I remember seeing one of these on a Mk1 Cab a couplew of years ago - it was apparently useless !! No power gain whatsoever.

Strange Question - How heavy would a VR6 engine be ?? I'm thinking of investing in a engine support for when I get my finger out and remove the gearbox to do the timing chains. I've used magnatec for a while now with no ill effecdts !! I used to work in a Jaguar / Aston Martin dealer and we used it on all cars that came in there !!

oil temp is a pretty constant 95 since I started using Magnatec !! High 20's mpg would be nice !!

yeeha I've been told that a six sped box is the way to go !! Looks like a quaife six speed costs less than a supercharger aswell. Going to Crail on Sunday ?? -
Not keen on taking my car up the strip but I'll happily meet up with you guys. Should have a stock of VR6 Golf stickers by then. What time suits everyone?

Was just about to say the same thing - try a relay as it looks like the power to the relay comes from the ECM. So if the earths are ok it may be that the relay is not handling the current under load - although it runs when cranking ?

Steve, I have a Bentley manaul, I'll have a look later - got to go out for a meeting now. Not sure that the ECU has any effect on the pump feed before cranking, I would have thought it would be a pure switched circuit from the ignition. When you say your mate has established there is live at the relay do you mean in or out from the relay ? I'll get back later.

If you disconnect the ABS sensor there should be approximately 1000 ohms resistance across the terminals of the sensor. I would expect 100 ohms either way but anything more than that I would say it's faulty.
