lol I can hear the rustle of cling film already! Dont forget to leave holes over the grille & bumper tho!

Ok this is from the previous group buy: Words from Vince: --------- It is not absolutley essential that the car gets remapped (chipped) immediatley altough desirable at some point. Some cars will be better than others on the current chip. Point to look out for would be pinking at or near the 3000rpm point,(normally 75% + throttle position) this is not good, the engines do have knock sensors but if pinking is evident it means that they are just not coping. If remaps are required then I will deal with you on a one to one basis for your requiremants. Current prices are £375 + vat for a Unichip (

Can you put me down for it Claire - Thanks

Mine idles at about 500rpm & I think thats about normal. Do a search under 'ECU' because I remember at least one thread where this was discussed in depth

Good luck then Pete! btw AMD are in Bicester if thats of any help!
-
Good man Fatboy! Ok we have: Me Ali Fatboy Slim Who else??
-
£1600 + the VAT! And AMD's price is nearly £2000 inc VAT!! I'd love a charger but I think £1100 inc VAT is more within reach for most people rather than £2500+ just for the s/c. We only need a minimum of 10 ppl so there must be that many out there who missed out 1st time round?

Normally whoever serves me first Ali! Normally I've never had a prob there but it seems that in 93/94 VW changed the temp sender slightly & mine is original so is one of the 'old' ones - got a new sender today & it fits the rad - just gotta hope the pin configuration is the same now! -
Pete does it ever feel a bit sluggish as you change up? As if the engine loses something just for a second or two? I had that & it was a camshaft sensor. Put a new one on & it went away

Dean - fair enough mate! I hav to admit I took it wrong tho I think this thread does show that it can be easy 2 misinterpret things that are written down rather said in person - who's even had an e-mail & taken it the wrong way? I know I have! Let's all be chums again! -

Jesus if everyone left stuff alone we'd not have a modifying scene at all & we'd all be stuck with main stealers ripping us off - you go for it Paula coz Dean's thinking is way off the mark -
Id go for a Schrick right now - if Jules is convinced they must be good! Are there 10 ppl who want one & have the funds?
-
Bought a new rad from there (make is Nissen), took of the front bumper, grill & headlights & squeezed the old one out only to find that the temp sender won't screw into the new one! ~ so 4 hours spent getting myself back 2 square one! And now they aint open until Tuesday! x)
