Cheers Vince - I'd better start ringing round for a new one as I'm losing a little water so I think it's on the way out! -

lol Kev that made me laugh coz I was thinking of my teenage fantasy car - a 2.8 Ford Capri! Same thing - sleek lines, long bonnet, big lump (the car, the car!) Shame after I'd scrimped & saved for one I found out what a piece of shite they were! Live & learn! 8o)

that wasn't in the VR it was in my MI16 which was a lot better on fuel! But accelerator pedals ARE meant to go right to the floor! Shame most Rover,Nissan, Ford etc etc don't realise that!

Apart from the usual like not checking I've got the right tools & getting stuck halfway thru a job, my stupidest has gotta be filling up, driving off without the gas cap & then spending the next week wondering why I could smell petrol & getting worried that something was wrong! Only realised my mistake when I filled up again a week later! :@ doh!

Cant get my stereo back in
patrick green replied to vdubgirl's topic in I.C.E, Security an Electrical
I did much the same as the rest - removing the shelf under airbag on the passenger side & the facia cowling under the steering wheel. It's best to gently(!) pull on the RCA & speaker leads to remove any slack until they are poking out of the stereo hole just enough to allow them to be connected up. Most connectors are either a click-fit or in the case of the RCA's a snug fit so they won't come off unless they get tugged hard. Once connected ease the stereo in while gently pulling on the leads (does this sound rude? ) & it should all go in ok although it's always a bit tight when -
Claire here's a thing I found on Pentagon's website as i was asking myself the same question. It seems as though all window tints on the drivers/passenger door windows will be illegal although I would expect the police to only go after those who have v.dark tints as many new cars already have tints as standard tho I guess it depends on what your local boys in blue are like about modified cars? Window Tinting - Amendments to Legislation During the early part of 2004, Section 32 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations will be amended to include ?Window Tint Films?, where such mat

Will Young, Robbie and Kylie went for a night on the town, as they left the night-club, Kylie slipped and got her head stuck between the railings of the fence opposite the club. Robbie decided to take full advantage of this and lifted up her little skirt, pushed her thong to one side and gave her a good seeing to (as any good Stoke lad would!). "Its your turn now, Will" grinned Robbie but Will started crying. Robbie asked "Why are you crying, Will? What's wrong?" Will sobbed "My head won't fit between the railings" !amazed !dodge

Craig I feel for you! Just seen the same happen today - old git in a Mondeo cut across me & I was lucky to be able to brake hard. Then, as if disappointed in missing me(!), he indicated to change lanes & happily rammed into this other car - when he got out his 1st words were "where did you come from? I didn't see you" What a fooking twat but I was so glad 2b able to give my details down as a witness - hopefully he'll be taken off the road!

[poll] Fitting a induction kit Q's.....
patrick green replied to vwmadgirl's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Paula I've got a Ram Air fitted to mine & it wasn't hard to put on - once you've managed to get the OE airbox out of the way, it's just the size of the filter that can be tricky & the point I had trouble with was the bracket that holds the filter housing. It fixes to the suspension strut housing but there isn't a decent nut to hold it so I used a cable tie - it does the job! -
monkee - have a look at this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2471444111&category=9889&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1 its a MK3 being scrapped so it might help you out

[poll] Fitting a induction kit Q's.....
patrick green replied to vwmadgirl's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Go on, give it a go! there's not really much to do with induction kits - most are simply a 'bolt-on' affair (CDA kits are a little more complicated) - what induction system are you planning to fit? -
Damn am I still the oldest? ~
