lol im 36 (37 on Monday! &| ) and so the oldest to reply so far! Im an office manager with a freight-forwarding company & I've owned my VR for 2 months 8o)

LOL - Nodding and looking at your watch would be deemed an acceptable response to 'I love you.' - Instead of an expensive engagement ring, you could present your wife-to-be with a giant foam hand that said, 'You're No. 1.' You're saying neither of these are ok??? &| If women ruled the world then cars would come with convenient holders for lippy & mascara, rear-view mirrors would be backlit & permantely fixed so the driver could only see themselves (herself?) in it & indicators would be an optional (male) accessory! !amazed

Before the Schrick goes on...
patrick green replied to FishWick's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
I don't know if this is any help but mine misfires at 2000rpm & from cold feels sluggish. When changing up, there's always a noticeable lag as if the engine can't be arsed to get going! At the RR day Vince put it on VAG.com & diagnosed a faulty ca,shaft sensor. It's probably not that on your car Kev but bear it in mind! -
I'd love to be in cali! But even though I'm not, we still get 'some' sunshine here so tints can help those of us without A/C keep the car cool & jonny-scumbag won't try to nick what he can't see! I hope! &|

I want tints - not for the looks just for security & as long as it's not too dark I think they look fine

Glad to help Jamie!

Jamie have a look at this on Ebay - knowing me the link won't work but it's item number 2470574094 which you can find from Ebays home page. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2470574094&category=9889&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1

Have a word with Andrew (VentoVR6) as he has a set of 16" going in the classifieds: http://www.vr6golf.co.uk/vr6oc_plugins/classifieds/classifieds_viewtopic.php?17.139 Doesn't say the width tho -
So is mystic blue really windsor blue? Mine is described as mystic but its the same colour as dublokes! Mind you I think mystic sounds better than being named after the royal family!

Hi and welcome! I have a Ram Air on mine but the exhaust is stock atm - it did make the car feel v.slightly better but it is loud from around 3000rpm - think of a Mustang V8 from 100 yards away and thats about right!

Does seem kinda strange coz most people would go for that piece of kit! No worries I've found it on another site so I think I'll get that one & put the saving towards the VSR! -

Jules I'm confused! I was trying to decide between Bilstein or Koni/Eibach but having read your reply I looked at the Euro Car Parts site but they only offer the Streetline kit - have they changed their stock since you bought yours? -

if you're not worried about the ride-height, you can keep OEM springs & stiffer shocks (Koni/Bilstein). This will give good handling & a comfortable ride tho not much street-cred! -

patrick green replied to just2zang's topic in General Chat
Ebay is pretty good tho there's a lot of rubbish around! My wheels were a top buy & there's a VSR currently at £650! -

I don't know how it would perform on my VR but I had one on my old Pug & although their were almost no performance benefits, it did decrease my fuel consumption. At motorway speeds I was getting about 5 MPG more. I might put it on my VR & see what happens.

Mine was the one that posted less than 172 - it was about 140 but I've not looked at the paper properly as it's grim reading! Still I know what's up with it now so next time I'm sure it will be better!

I get 18-20 around town & the best i had was 23 on the way back from Stealth

It was a top day - first time 4me at a dynoday but well worth the freezing cold - my feet are just thawed out now! Good on Pete for arranging it all! Tommy was that you who went racing off after that Evo which was racing the Scooby?

It was a great day tho fecking cold! That KFC went down a treat! was really good meeting everyone but the im not saying a thing bout my figures! ~ still at least i know why its so sluggish tho on the run home it seemed to have improved so maybe it's cleared it out a bit? can't wait 4 the next one when my car is 100%!

Im hoping to get to AMD soon for a re-chip & maybe a bigger TB so ill check out their service charges then & do the same on Sun at Stealth. Being new to owning a VR I used a local garage but I think they overcharged me! Convenience isn't always a good thing!
-
Pete excluding the discs how much did you pay? I'm just trying to compare the prices between my garage & somewhere like Awesome to see if it's worth making a trip from London Cheers
