stunning! just decided I'm having a highline next!! and prob in Mulberry How low is it sitting? I had a Mk3 Golf 16v a couple of years ago, -35mm on a Koni kit but this looks lower - coilovers? My old 16v... http://www.seatenthusiasts.co.uk/forum/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=138&size=big&sort=1&cat=500 -
Just thought I would ask a simple question, seeing as I am once again going to be hunting for a Mk3 VR6.... I sold a MINT 1995 16v GTI with low miles, full history, miltek, Koni's, Clifford full closure, T&T, blah blah blah for £3700 around 18 months ago. This took a lot of advertising to get a sniff at it. Last May I sold my 93 VR6, Cobra total closure, Bilsteins, FSH, 119k, Alpine HU etc etc and again, it took a lot of advertising to get interest. It sold for £1600. How come I had such issues selling genuine cars, but I see cars advertised at the current time at prices well above wha

Six - you got a pic of this Stroeve?
-
Gusto - seen your can and it looks sweet as it is! In the pics, perhaps another 5mm lower at front? Mine is -25mm with a Bilstein Sprintline kit and it looks perfect on the 15" BBS alloys... If it was on 16's/17's that may be a different story, but I plan on keeping the 15's for the ride quality

what kind of car kicks a VR6s' arse?
mike79 replied to apd's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
crazy speeds on here!! I Have driven at 130 once in my life (mk3 16v) and it was FAST! My VR has never been above 100 with me..... Guess I am more of a nippy rather than fast person.... No idea why I want an M3 next now! -

Had a Mk3 16v and it was quick.... Had a chipped Mk4 GTI 1.8T and it was even quicker! However, both suffered from the same problem - come out of a wet round-a-bout and you will get wheelspin.... VR6 - I assume it is the heavier front end, but I can come out of round-a-bouts not with the foot planted and I don't get any wheelspin. I find the VR6 lovely to drive, and if I was able to afford it I would have a newer/lower mileage one.... I am tidying this one up as I go... only thing that gives away it's age/miles now is the interior.... Other than that, I love it. And what cars beat it??? -
there is a silver 5 door that has been on autotrader for weeks now with something silly like 5k GENUINE MILES! Only £8k too!!!

How much oil does your vr6's use??????
mike79 replied to vr6max's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
phew! thought it was just mine! I am topping mine up every 3 weeks or so just to keep it at the top of the dip stick Taking the birds SLK on my tour of England next week now! -
Pics never work for me, so here's a link to the pic.... My VR6 and the Mrs' SLK 230K... Love my VR, but the SLK wins hands down for cruising on a sunny day!! P-I-M-P!! have to say, I am a fan of the M3's! DTM mirrors look alright, but sometimes a bit "dumpy" for the Mk3 Although it has to be a mirror for the car - universal ones often sit at funny angles! I need a new drivers mirror and am stuck between M3's and a replacement standard one...

[moved] My VR6 handles like sh*t too!!!
mike79 replied to andy's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Bilstein kit fitted - fitting included wheel alignment &camber adjustment Handling is much better - ride is firmer than the koni kit I had on my last mk3, but it's great out on the open road! Not too bad round town, but you do feel every bump -
links now anyone know why pics weren't working?

damn. so do I now... there was 3 pictures yesterday (they are in my gallery on this site!) ah well
