Gents, My VR6 turbo has always seemed to suffer a tad from hot starts. It can take svereal goes to get it to run. Starts straight away when cold? Can anyone suggest what might be causing this? Cheers

[blockquote] 10% gain usually, but at the top end. 268s move the torque band further up. [/blockquote] How would they work on a Turbo'd VR? Would it make it more aggressive?

1.5 years - Bought it from VW dealship in Kingston when it was there..
-
Turbo More scope for power but also more expensive.

Thanks lads. I will look into comp's

Looked at various setups. Have been looking at black diamond disks and predator pads + braided hoses. I like the 15's buit not sure they will give enough traction... Not heard of 312's fitting under a 15" rim always thought min was 17" - sounds interesting.
-
What sort of brake setup do you suggest for that sort of power? For example if you wanted to keep the oem look and the standard 15" rims? *-) Ta 8-|

Nice one Kev! Been waiting for you to sort out those pics !! :-p
-
Yep - Ggeat bunch of people. :-d What did you have done there?

Running a Ram air on mine. Great sound when you floor it and sounds the same as OEM setup when cruising, both at motorway or road speeds.

Cheers chaps - Think I am gonna have to do a fair bit of research into this, to get my head round it all. Not to mention save up a few beans for it all. Had a drive in a VR6T - Unbelievable power!!! Sold it to me from the start. Did not honestly think it would put all the power down - but it did @ 411bhp. Could not stop grinning!! Serious bit of kit.

[blockquote]Evos are nothing against a VRT mate, not even the FQ360. [/blockquote] Well that is great news! I can have a kit fitted and installed for around the 5k mark only thing is it will devaule the car... Black 1998 Highline 3dr manual with only 36000 miles on it...now I don't intent to sell it (at the moment) so I suppose it wouldn’t matter but it has been on me mind!! So has the thought of all that power potential ^o)

Kev - No problem mate. Thought I would ask as you really know your stuff! Unfortunately I am not up on all the odds and sods needed got a fair idea - but would not know what turbo is better than the other......Going up to the Phrim tomorrow - they said they can build a kit from scratch so maybe a custom kit would be easier to taylor to my driving style and budget!! Would be nice to blow away an Evo or two!! (6)

Yep - you guys are right EIP look as though they are going under - apparently it takes them 6 to 8 months to deliverer their kits !!
