  1. nice pics there fella. keep finding some more out!
  2. i got some rs4's for sale dude. need two new tyres at the front and two have minimal curbing. pm me and we'll chat about price or msn me on dubloke@msn.com
  3. gave generously this afternoon myself!
  4. nice to see you pinched my chrome pole idea that i#ve been running for ages! cheeky mofo, lol. looked nice at malvern tho clive!
  5. will upload some pics later when i get in from work! great weekend again guys, big thanks to claire again for the organisation, ian for the stonking food(nought wrong with my tummy you tipsy old gits) and all those that turned up, inc james who i had never met and his car looks nicer in the flesh than pics do !
  6. tbh it will look pants if you just paint over the textured surface! find some late cl trims that came colour coded from factory and get those painted to match your car? it will look a million times better imo!
  7. thats the whole idea of the bmc kit to start with as its a "ram air" type of kit. by that i mean it needs cold air rammed up it to become effective over a non-enclosed kit otherwise it will still be drawing in warm air from the engine despite the casing, and of course, being enclosed, then retains some of the warmth in its internal chamber! the bmc works particularly well at speed with a cold air pipe from the front bumper supplying the denser air!
  8. bargain, its a bloody steal chief! hope you manage to get them at that price!
  9. nothing wrong with my ramair peeps, backed up by consistent rr figures to prove. sounds fanstastic and pulls like a train on the road with no such above probs!
  10. mine doesnt hesitate at all, and the noise the ram air produces as the flap opens is best described as a rabid hound from hell! but its hardly noticable as it opens apart from that!
  11. the scricks not about bhp, its torque! gave mine about 10bhp also and around 38lbs/ft of extra torque at 3700rpm!
  12. should be able to achieve this in a day, providing they have all the parts prior to starting the work of course!
  13. you could always discard the breather gubbins and re-route a pipe to the wing with a small aftermarket breather on it, or bite the bullet and buy a pukka shiny oil breather bottle instead! prob just as cheap as the standard replacement from vw!
  14. i asked vince for a quote for one of these at the begining of the year and he gave me a price of 230+vat then. surely these haven't gone up by that much? 50 tokens in 6 months.
  15. if money is the issue then sell it as its better to have the cash than get into debt over a car. if you can afford to hang onto it until your house sells than do that instead as you will still have a very decent car the other side of things!
  16. ported and polished stuuf is all well and good but unless you have it mapped for the extra fuel/air being applied then it will all be a waste of time and effort long term. the car will bog down and over fuel or run lean depending on the state of tune! get ourself along to bvf on 2/3 july(next weekend) and come have alook at mine if you wanna see what they're like!
  17. no! pre-sprung and never clamp as tight as when new. plus the samco's a slightly thicker walls!
  18. order them thru whoever you had the group buy with as you cant get them direct from samco. i presume it might have been amber performance?
  19. dont use the cheap jubilee clips dude, they will slice thru your hoses when u try to tighten them up tight! samco do their own which i used for about 20 tokens i believe. only about twice what cheapies will cost ya! worth it!
  20. nice pics there jas, if i had the spare time atm i'd have been there! or if pete(senior)had picked me up on his bike!
  21. looking good dude, get yourself some elbow grease for that manifold. or buy one off here or the forums. will make that clean bay look ace, i should know! here's mine http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y6/dubloke1/sonydigicampiccys522.jpg
  22. if you can get two bits of wood either side of the crank to stop it turning, try tightening the bolt up first to get it moving then undo it again! sometimes you just need to free a bolt off and start it moving before you can undo it! sounds crazy i know, but give it a whirl!
