  1. carbonio do these in carbon for the 12v vr and i believe you can get them from r&a and awesome gti! not cheap tho, but quality and being different never is!
  2. ram air all the way with a heat shield and the cold air feed vented thru the redundant hole left by removing the carbon cannister! looks the nads, cheaper than the bmc and just as power hungry!
  3. any more on these and where to get them. will be going down the ashley route otherwise which i have had highly reccomended to me!
  4. black venoms huh, gotta get on ebay find me some for 5p then paint them blue! seriously tho, what a transformation! needs slamming now! lol
  5. seen the car off the clock when i had the 3.1 fitted, alongside a p1 i had seen rapidly approaching on a local bypass, erm, i mean, race track! have since occasionally hit 150 where conditions allow(private roads) with the 2.8 back in! i dont drive fast normally mind!
  6. surely a kit from h&r will already come with bump stops to match? i would not be impressed if not. the nuts to torque are upper mount-46lbs, strut-swivel mount-46lbs.that should be all you need tbh! pm me if you need more!

  10. real sorry to hear about yet another hijacked car. its seems that no matter what you do to secure some cars, if they want it they will take it. hope u catch the thieving cowards and give them thier just rewards! will keep an eye open and an ear to the ground!
  11. infinity ref 6500 components are pretty good in this enviroment, although it all depends on your musical tastes, and no doubt others on here will offer different advice. you can pick the infinities up for around 70-80 pounds so that leaves you a little over to either buy a half decent head unit, or a small sub/amp combo if you already have a decent h/u!
  12. good stuff there buddy, its a world of difference having big balls on the road to having steel balls on the track tho! keep us informed tho buddy!
  13. sell them both and get yourself an alpine 5 channel instead. only around the 250 mark for the 5 channel i believe or cheaper! can just mount it in the floor then and keep the majority of your boot space
  14. i find, when forming glass to a particular shape, to line what ever you are doing with loads of masking tape first. its really cheap to buy and peels off easily after. then a thin layer of vaseline so you can remove the glass from the panel after easier. start with glass matting in the thinner type and after 2 or 3 layers, switch to the thicker matting. make sure the glass goes off before removing it. best to do one panel at a time leaving the set ones in situ so it all bonds together, otherwise you will get in an awful mess. once you have the basic 3 sided shape set off(back, strut and boot
  15. best of luck claire, i'm confident you can make it all the way!
  16. yes, we know justin! hence your new ride huh!!!!! lol, i'm not bitter at all!
  17. if you have the space and room to store/break the car i would def get a price to buy it back! leather goes for at least 500 upwards and the engine/box the same! at least. plus all the other bits you can take off that folk always want!
  18. u can buy the resistors from awesome gti for a tenner and they plug straight into where the steering wheel plugged in.
  19. nice one dude. would be kewl to have the choice! still prefer the mk.2 tho!
  20. only a turd like you could think of yourself in that situation steve!
  21. warren, thats a shitty trick to pull. get his address and i'll certainly come round with you and help sort the gaylord out! totally unacceptable in my mind!
  22. make sure you do the job correctly, and u dont have my luck and get a didgy bearing! its not big or clever and totally screwed my weekend at inters over! along with other contributing factors too!
  23. i'll be there again as usual, upsetting the folks more likely than not!
