    and no coolant is "life long" it needs flushing and refilling on a regular basis to maintain the engines reliability, same as oil!

    i would get good quality jubilees tbh as the halfords and motor factors tat tend to cut into the samco's and that will end up an expensive cheap clip! the samco hose clips have rounded edges to avoid this as do the likes of mikalor too! [ Edited Mon May 02 2005, 10:28PM ]

    unless you change your car or stereo more than once, in which case you buy the pair of tools, like me! :-)

    could be a dodgy rad or heater matrix thats turning the water brown as deposits come loose as the water circulates! more likely just needs a good flushing tbh and you could use a rad flush additive to help remove the deposits! i'd be a little worried that its that bad as the coolant should be changed quite regularly on the vr engine to avoid premature h/g failure and other related coolant troubles!

    i have one of these in mine and have had no probs with mine coming out or falling over despite me not using the velcro at all! i'm running a swr-1041 alpine dual voice coil currently running off a v12 alpine amp and now the subs run in its drops like a bitch and is as loud as my two kenny tens i used to have run off the same amp!

    tried that to no avail i'm afraid clive. to make it more complex, with the vento front end everything sits much flusher at the front making it nigh on impossible to get your fingers in between bonnet and grill!

    good day, some seriously quick machines on the strip, they seem to have found more 12/13/14 sec cars this year! nice to chat and see the same suspects again and some new ones too. biggest showing yet of vr6oc cars i believe, gonna be the mk.3's year i think!

    very sweet, always had a soft spot for golf ragtops despite the somewhat hairdresser style image. and always fancied transplanting a bigger lump into one, more likely i would go for a 20v turbo one these days, tho u still cant beat the sound of the v6 in one! going to be a cool ride for the summer dude!

    fk now manufacture angel eyes for these cars, they come in crystal,blue,or black tints inside the reflectors, part numbers, fkfsvw311/313/315. not to everybodies taste i know but certainly different and the tinted ones would look quite trick i believe! hope this helps?

    does anyone here know how to get the bonnet on a golf open when the cable wont operate the latch? it worked yesterday perfectly when i cheked all the fluids prior to the trip to the pod today, but when i parked the car at the show i could not get the bonnet open for love or money! ideally i would like to get it open without resorting to breaking/cutting the front grill! thanks in advance for any help/advice given!
