Its that time of year again for misty windscreen/windows and waiting for the heater to heat up to clear them. Have noticed Rain X Anti Fog and Mer Anti Fog treatments on the market, anyone used them? Any recommendations?

The central locking snib on the driver door has been rattling a hell of a lot for the past couple of months. Is this a common VR problem, is there a cure. *-)

ABS light stayed on (again!!) after starting the car last saturday and has not went out since. Done 150 miles over the weekend and have had no problems whatsoever with brakes. Took the car into the local Dub dealer and it is booked in for next week. This first happened about a month ago as I was travelling to the hospital. I took it into the dealers the next day and had it hooked up to the VAG COM (no charge!!), but it was showing everything as fine. There was a lot of heavy rain and flooding at the time and the guy felt that driving through large puddles had possibly knocked the sensors. I'll

Had to get 2 new tyres for the front about 5 months back and got Yoko A043A's, no Eagle F1's in my size . The Yoko's have been absolutely brilliant in all weather conditions. I had never heard of them before but I would certainly recommend them. The only downside was

My 'isola cloth' driver seat has started to wear slightly at the side bit next to the right cheek!! :? Would like to get leather seats for the front or preferably a full leather interior (seems to be very hard to get a hold of). What would be the best option?

My alarm has just gone off 3 times in the past 2 weeks for no apparent reason. 1st time at 11pm, about 2 weeks ago. 2nd time at 4am, 1 week ago. 3rd time, 8.15pm, 5 days ago. It has went off a couple of time previously in the past 2 years. Any ideas? :? VAG Logic 950 system.

Phoned Admiral insurance to let them know about the mods and my policy has increased by £35. Not sure whether to pay it up monthly.

Just back form STAR PERFORMANCE, had a Bilstein / Eibach Kit fitted with a 30mm drop. Also had a Supersprint exhaust fitted. Was a 90 mile round trip but well worthwhile. The car feels superb and it doesn't sound too bad either. Great work by Jim & the boys. http://www.starperformance.co.uk/ I'll update my pics asap.

Probably a daft question, but I assume these 7 x 15's would fit without any problems. These Speedline Corse type 2118 sc (maybe not everyones cup of tea) seem to be very hard to find, but I will keep searching.

Was running Optimax a while back but changed to BP Ultimate. I feel the car runs a lot better on Ultimate but others will naturally disagree.

Finally going to get my suspension done. Contacted Jim at Star Performance and he recommends: quote: "Eibach, with Bilstein dampers -30mm. Cost is £485.00 for kit & £188.00 for fitting prices include vat & 4 wheel alignment." Any one have a similar setup? How is it? What do you think about the quote?

Just back from a 100 mile friend seeing trip and my silver VR has a rather groovy black, red, orange and white splatter effect all over the front!!! !ill Better get the scraper out. !dodge

I had a problem last week with the water temp gauge shooting up to 110 and the water bubbling away. Local VW garage sorted the prob (cylinder head gasket had gone at number 6 cylinder &| . no warping to the head, thankfully, as I got the car towed to them as soon as it happened). Get it checked out ASAP may not be anything as drastic but better to be safe.
