Hi Marco - I was planning on heading up on Sunday, but my sister 'kindly' reminded me that it was my nephews first birthday party (like he's going to notice that I'm not there!!!) and its down in peebles. Might try and do both but at the moment undecided. Will look out for you if I do go though.

Same case with mine - a little poetic license excercised I think. Not too bad but certainly not the final draft either - and I wasn't overly keen on the photo's they selected. Shouldn't grumble though.....

Hi Andrew, Yeah got features in the March edition - 3 pages, well chuffed. Seen the feature they done on yours as well - all good

I'll be going down again this year - probably Sunday as well. Conoy would be good if we can get it arranged.

Cheers, guys - just wanted to make sure it was as simple as that! I've never actually been in a genuine VR6 so wasn't sure of cluster dimensions etc. Thanks again.

Hi Folks, Hoping you can give me some advice...... When I got my engine conversion done I had stuck with the original dash etc (1.8 16V Raddo). Obviously the rev counter has been disconnected because it would not be giving an accurate reading, and to start with this didn't bother me. I now want a rev counter that works!! How do I go about this?? Will I need to try and swap in an entire Corrado or Golf VR6 dash, or is there some way of isolating the rev counter 'clock' and swapping the individual units over? Any suggestions gratefuly received. Cheers, Derek

Mine'll do 100 if I take it up to just before the limiter

Wheel bearings tend to give a knocking noise and you can normally feel some feedback of the knock through the steering wheel so it doesn't sound like that is your problem. Check your brake disc shields - after a while the tend to corrode (or they certainly did on mine) split, and can end up rubbing on the back of the disc

Thats a bad one mate. They are taking the Piss - for a start if there is a big variance in the original quote then I would imagine that they are obligated to seek your approval before going ahead with the job. I'd maybe speak to Citizens advice and see what they say. I'm in Edinburgh as well and have in the past thought about using Autowerke - I don't think I'll bother now. -
I'm probably a little (more than a little if the truth be told) biased, but I just love the look of the Corrado. Never driven a VR6 Golf so can't really comment on the driveability etc. Corrado's really are no use as passenger cars so if your just after a car for you and one other then defo go with the raddo.

Thanks for the replies guys. Appreciated

If you want a bodykit for your Raddo give Superspeed a call on 0131 316 4200 - speak to Charlie. They can supply kits from Reiger, Mattig, Seidl and a few others. I can appreciate you wanting to have a unique Raddo. I think their website is www.superspeed-carstyling.co.uk

Hi Folks, When I had the VR6 lump dropped in my Corrado it was left with the original fuel pump (1.8 16V version). The fuel pump has now started to leak a little (well it is 15 years old!!) and was wondering whether I should replace it with a VR6 fuel pump or stick to the valver pump?? Is there any differences? Someone had said to me that you could use one off an 8valve GTI? Also, by the looks of it when I go to change the fuel pump I think everything around it will disintegrate - so am also looking to replace the Accumulator and Fuel pipes. Does anyone have the VAG part number for the acc
