  1. Don't know if anyone can help me. It looks like i've sold the VR, but one of the conditions of sale is that i get the drivers window working (obviously!). I've already changed the regulator as that had died, but now the motor has died. You can hear it trying to work, but not doing actually moving. Does anyone know how i can remove the regulator without being able to drop the window to access the clamp bolts? I just can't get to them and without getting the reg out, i can't take the motor off...... TIA
  2. Really sorry about not sending mine to you Claire, am zipping them now. Had a hectic couple of weeks!
  3. Well, being made the official photgrapher for the day (It's all Claire's fault) means i've got pics of almost all of the cars on the rollers.......and they will be forwarded to Claire as soon as i can then she can do what she wants with them! Cheers for the good day guys, i'm happy as punch with my results!
  4. Keep having thoughts of a Beemer 330Ci, M3 or something like as a non-VAG. As for VAG, S3, S4 or MK5 GTI......one of which WILL be the next car. I guess S3 at the moment though!
  5. It mightr be best that this goes in the Electrical section, but it might be something else so here it lies! Since owning the Highline i've found that the car doesn't respond that well when turning the key (if you catch my drift). I've lived with it for the last few months, but its now a lot worse. I can turn the key, all the lights pop up as normal, but then when i try to start the car absolutely nothing happens. I find myself wiggling and forcing the key to the point that i'm worried it might snap, luckily it hasn't yet. I've found it can be worse when the car is warm too, but this may ju
  6. I've gotta change the oil in the VR before Friday, but before i do, does anyone use anything in the way of an engine flush when they do theirs?? I never have myself, but is there any benefit of it?
  7. A few of us from CGTI Worcs were at a loose end this afternoon so we took a run about with a camera for a few shots. Enjoy!
  8. So, i've fianlly now upgraded to the crystal fog and indicators, but it's left me in a bit of a pickle with my headlights. IMO they don't really work with the black angel eyes. I've now opened it up to 4 alternatives and i want you opinions or pictures or anything really....... The choices are: 1) Hella chrome MK4 style 2) Hella black MK4 style 3) R32 style, without angel rings 4) R32 Style with angel rings Any ideas people?? And any ideas where to get eh best ones from?? TIA guys
  9. ah, i so wish i could afford to join that club.......
  10. hmmm, sell the StilAutos to me and keep the ACT's.
  11. sort the stonechips next i think. Concentrate on the things that will make the important differences. As for tyre sizes, i'm sure they're 205/50's........but i'm only guessing by what the Corrado ran, can't say i've actually looked at these ones....... And they are the smoked crystal rear lenses. THe only things to go for on a black car IMO.
  12. I don't know why but i ain't too keen on the Hella Celis ones. The rings look nice yeah, but the backing just seems wrong to me.............may be if it was black it'd be better....
  13. Would have been even closer had i taken the pic earlier on Saturday morning before the tail lamps went on!
  14. i've got the LHD one on mine, adjusted them over as far as possible, not been flashed once. Still don't know about the MOT though as i've not had to put it through one yet.
  15. Cheers guys, you're too kind. It really does look i n better nick on the photos than it is in reality though!! lol Purple highline - i do like the Solitudes, but have very similar thoughts to you, they are just too small. I'd love some ZW1's myself too, but i can't see that happening just yet. I don't actually know what suspension kit it is as it was fitted when i bought the car. Think its only a cheap kit though as its not great. Lowers it approx 60mm i think. Once i've got a spare bit of cash its has to be coilies anyway.
  16. a few kilos of solid stainless steel bar. Works a treat and was a grand total of free, so its all good!
  17. From this in October 2004: To this as of 04/07/05: Any opinions (other than the ropey stone chips)??
