Minty - which charger did you get? Just out of interest, did you have to pay any import duty or vat when it was shipped over ? Sam -
eVil - did you change the cams to the 248's after you put the 'charger on? do you know what sort of power/torque gains you got from the cams alone? cheers sam
-
eVil - what charger and other stuff are you running? sam

The Stroeve one is one of the best looking one's i've seen - but like you say, I don't fancy having to start bending the aircon pipework to get it to fit Are there any other makes around that fit straight on?
-
Does anyone have one of these or know if the front strut brace fits ok on a Golf with air-con? Does anything else need to be moved to make it fit? Would be interested to hear opinions of what the quality is like too Cheers Sam

HOW IS SEBRING EXHAUST SYSTEM WORK ON MK3 VR6?
sam replied to faigolfgti's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
I got a brand new back-box free and the front and middle pipes cost me £200 I'm not sure how much it should have cost altogether -

I put the exhaust on at the same time as I did a few other mods (schrick vsr/cams, BMC, re-chip etc) so don't know what gains, if any, the exhaust gave on its own As dubloke said I think you can only expect a couple of bhp increase max -

I've got a full Sebring system - it gives a deeper exhaust note but is not too much noisier than the standard system -
They are in the US but Kinetic Motorsport have just brought out a VR6 turbo kit that looks pretty good for $2500

grinding noise from the drivers front anyone?
sam replied to madmonkee's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
I had a similar prob a while ago - grinding noise when driving straight, got worse when turning to the left and seemed to disappear when turning to the right and this turned out to be the wheel bearing -
Superchargers... Z-Engineering v VF-Engineering
sam replied to Ferrari VR6's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
The C2motorsports kit does look quite good - they are offering a group buy on their stage 1 kit on the vwvortex forum for $3300 (approx £1800) plus shipping They said they would ship to the UK and they normally send them as 'gifts' when they ship abroad so you would hopefully not have to pay import duties but I assume you would still pay vat on it -
Cheers binliner How much was it (if you don't mind me asking) The stealership wanted around £50 for a Mk4 Gti one
-
Binliner is that a Mk4 GTI gear knob you've got? Do they just fit straight on?

Wheel Wax is good and is safe to use on chrome and split rims Sam
