  1. yes go to eip tuning. they have a video of a monster vr6 running the 1/4mile in 10.23. Now thats pokey!
  2. need to replace mine, now local garage say replace with platinum plugs at £12 ago, or listen to vincey baby and use standard £1.20 ago plugs. (which i will do) but which ones are they? they ngk plugs like it says on the schrick instruction booklet?

  4. Dave Turner from VW and Audi specialists is a race driver. He has in his possesion a mrk 4 tdi golf. It is tuned to a whopping 220bhp and over 400lb/ft. It is rapido maximus. It races along side him in the VW cup, it will piss over a vr6 anyday, there is also another tdi but in a mrk3 which is a friend of his, again running over 200bhp with massive torque figures. Look for allard tuning on the web, diesel tuners. Massive respect to diesels.

  6. funny i did that, new head gasket soon became new cylinder head because of bad corrosion, as well as all the other plug in bits such as valve guide rails, thermostat, water pump, oil pump etc... etc... engine front mount powersteering pipe, total of just shy of £2000
  7. lookin at head rebuild at 100k btw, vr6 heads are renown for corosion, an about 100k is the time to do it.
  8. ai, soon as the light comes on(which it never) there is still about 4litres in there. Basically the sensors told my ecu there was low oil but not that low to put the light or buzzer on. It resricted the revs just in case.
  9. alkaline cleaner from work, gets um up a treat primarily used for cleaning areospace aluminium before processing, works well after you heat it up abit

  12. i found the problem, the engine was giving out the sounds as it would if you hit redline this sorta gave it away.... NO OIL hopefully its ok......
  13. its in the driverside front lower air vent thingy.... but if you clever drill and mount it in your airbox/bmc/viperX an it will tell u air temp into youe engine

  15. it shouldnt get coked up tho, the shit shouldnt stick to the stainless steel. ill get a remap after fittin my vsr. maybe a fuel filter? or bloked injector??

  18. if ya have a freeflowing exhaust the torque band moves up even higher so it feels even slower!
  19. does it give problems with ya wheels?? looked at the print out from the machine of wheel allignmentness, an it tells me that the "thrust" of the car is 0.02degrees so more or less smack on forwards. Camber, tracking and allignment of the rear is spoton. The front toe is slighty different but well within tolerances, the camber is -0.52degrees for the left(passenger)wheel and drivers is 0.03degrees 2 over the max limit. But was told its nothing to worry about. So there is a fair difference between the two wheels 0.5degrees so it could be that ?
  20. yet another problem.... after ive had my new exhaust and sports cat fitted, the car had a sudden drop in low end torque, but it was made up with a free'er top end so to speak. Now today i gave it some beans and instead of pissing up to 6000rpm in 3rd it got to 5000 and basically gave up, same for 4th?? Any ideas, its like a flat spot. Ok yesterday tho but today its fooked up big style is it mfa or lamba probe on exhaust?? dunno
