  1. me m8's coupe was like that, after we removed on of the nuts underneath the top mount, It went down 10mm more and sat nicely on the disc thinger at the top
  2. bit of moddin it will go in. I know whats being said but again i think thats already out surely. There isn't alot left thats hasn't been done already. My idea comes from a local vw racing team after lookin over there cars for a fair old bit. They got the 5-6 pipe up through that hole but not yet surrounded the filter. Aparently no need after you got all that air ramming up. Gotta be worth a bash. I'll let you all know when its done
  3. what my plan is..... remove the carbon canister and replace my 80mm intake pipe with a 5-6" yes INCH, pipe, (like the one from your tumble dryers) this will be mounted down the bottom by the grill/horn area. Come up through where the carbon canister was. Then up into a already sectioned off area. This will then ram air up into a sectioned off area under the bonnet with a "filter" on the end of the MAF completly sealed off from the rest of the engine bay. Should then create its own vacumn and draw air in from the wing (like standard induction) also from the ram pipe. If you look hard enoug
  4. both my pipes are clear, which one do i block off?? the one to the throttle body or the other??
  5. thought it was a case of just hacking up the top of the rad area to get them in, but not to sure on then wiring....
  6. ive never seen it so i don't know
  7. or just smear the end with jam.... might help
  8. no one wants to talk hey....... packet of M+Ms and a wallnut whip to anyone willing to help me, PM me if you dont wanna give away the secrets to everyone
  9. as ive posted before about the wonky wheels, as alot of you know i was suffering from what look like a crabbing car, (drivers wheel sticking out 1/2" more than the passengers, so cant lower it) after having the subframe bolts out and I good ole looking over, we found nothing to be bent or damaged. So we decided to look higher in the suspension setup. There was the answer, the uppermost of the two bolts that join the coil'y to the discs had been pulled over about 1/2". So when i took it in to be mended after i broketed it, all they did was to adjust the bottom camber to pull the wheel out to
  10. superlight wheels gloucester. They do anything wheel based, you tell them they do it but make sure you spacers are hubcentric http://www.superlite-wheels.com/
  11. as ive found there isnt much in the way of rear spoilers for the golf, but i have found the ultimate Badboy what you think????? Oh yeh baby! Im gonna get two, one for the front as well. Can be the starship enterprise then after the neons mind you.
  12. remove the carbon canister as talked about in another thread Nice big hole for the intake then
  13. i want to put the mark 4 h/l in my mrk3, what mods do i have to do in order to get them in and get them to work??? what connectors are they on the new golfs?? i want the r32 angel eyes. This way i can get rid of the fogs an indicators in the bumper.....
  14. i would have one if they had indicators and fogs as stansard in them
  15. why i thought it was a temp gauge..... so if i get rid there will be no probs??
  16. piece of piss, only a matter of three bolts! Just make sure they all set to the required ride height and away you go, p.s U will need spring compressors and a large torque bar. It is easy, takes about 4-6hrs.
  17. try rubbing them with a nylon STIFF brush, or jet blast them... dunno im about to lower mine agian, hope mine arnt seized. Aluminium on a st/steel strut, shouldn't seize. Not being silly but has yours got the allen key locking thingy on the lowering/highering retaining locking nut thinger??
  18. modify the airbox with some silcone hoses and ram a cone filter inside of the box, then plumb a ram air pipe from the existing intake in the box down to the front of your car. Cone filter with ram air in a box was thinking about doing this myself.
  19. its on the obd1 engines, can i just get rid of it??
  20. i want to put an oil catch tank in connected to the crankcase breather pipe, to remove all liquids from going back into my induction, now do i have to put that temp sensor back in or can i just get rid of all together? What does it do?? Also would it be better if i put a crank breather filter on as well? Will this higher/lower the octane at all?? any helps welcome
