  1. im having exactly the same problem, if you put it into neutral and rev then the revs take ages to climb, from what i have read on forums i am lead to believe it is the hall sender which i am intending to change soon, when i had a go at cleaning mine it made a huge difference for a few minutes then felt slow again, so i am going to change mine
  2. got a illustrated instruction for this somewhere?
  3. if you look thru the pages in group buy where it was purchased, a few pages in and there is a good pic of one fitted.
  4. so on a vr6 where would you put it in from? iv heard of the petrol/gas treatment ones and use that regularly which is quite good, but your one sounds more fun!
  5. could be the case, i might have to ask the guy who fitted the alarm if he deactivated the standarfd chip in key immobiliser or if he installed it in a way that it could interfere
  6. i wait till i get a reading on the oil temp and then just drive normal, mind you, any time of the day iv never felt like just jumping in and pounding it, only pound it if someone does my head in on the road
  7. hmm, i dont know why it is associated with the oil warning light
  8. hi guys (and gals) the only (thank god) problem on my car is this: every time i start the car it switches off straight away (does not tick over and stay running) until i discovered --- it does not do this if i let the oil light (warning light) turn off at half ignition first, then when i turn the key it ticks over and stays on as well, almost like a diesel car where you are supposed to wait for the glow light to go off anyone else experiened this? i have recently changed the ignition switch as well. help?
  9. VERY nice indeed, u gota get used to swearing at other ass drivers and throwing a punch straight thru the window at the same time lol, well deserved i say! enjoy!!!

  11. http://www2.maximumautoparts.com/parts/parts1/maximumautoparts/wizard.jsp?year=1995&make=VW&model=GOL-GTI-004&category=F∂=Impulse+Sender i am a bi hesitant to order it from here though, if something is wrong with it or if it is the wrong part then too much hassle ,had fair share of grief with my coilovers from germany
  12. certainly books in at a higher value i.e. VR6 1995 N reg book approx 3300 and the bmw same year/mileage books in at 5700, obviously the bmw would not hold sentimental value like my VR does but i am getting married in july and might be an idea to get hold of a car that will hold more value and sellability in the long run
  13. hmmm..... i really dont know what to do, i guess if the deal goes through i might consider it, i must admit i have been in a standard one and the guy put his foot down, BLOODY hell does the car move and it feels smooth as anything, gota rate the overall drive, still got time to think though and i appreciate all the responses cheers - keep em coming
