    I am most gutted to report AMD (Bicester) gave me a flat NO WAY, when I asked them to book my VR6 in for service. I have used them for 2 years now for all sevicing etc, and really wanted to continue getting that AMD stamp in the service book. If anyone knows decent place to get servicing near Oxford please let me know Cheers Dave PS the first service there cost £1000, so not exactly peanuts, I feel a bit second class :-(

    hello peeps, would this size tyre rub? the wheels are gti mkiv bbs, how low could i go 30mm? 40 mm? anyone got experience with this set up?

    if it's any consolation my first service at AMD 70k miles was £970 :@ and then they advised me that the front discs were on there last legs!! (did them myself)

    my missus insures the vr6 highline with me on it too, well she had a little prang, so now 0 ncb, has anyone else had a quote with 0 ncb, or any ideas who would be good?

    Hello folks, I've been looking at coilover kits and have noticed that some say the ride is too harsh, could you getaway with a decent kit and just lower the car? this works out cheaper, but how much to lower the thing? I may end up getting 7 x 17 with 205/40 nothing bigger, at the mo I've got standard solitudes I was thinkinh 30mm but am unsure, any ideas on these points, Cheers Dave Mulberry highline

    Got the vw parts (£170) and fitted no probs, apart from bolts being a bugger to undo!

    My disc have bitten the (brake) dust, and I've been quoted £295 for grooved discs and greenstuff pads from AMD, very nice i'm sure. But, as I don't often hammer the car I could well just buy the standards bits and fit then myself. any suggestions on decent online places to buy the bits? and is this likely to turn into a nightmare I wish I never %-6 started?
