ballasts?in r32 look in pro lights????i don't think so!for hid's,you need 20,000+volts to ignite them, then you need your relay's etc.did you up the fuses in your fusebox too mark???i run my kit with 30amp fuses as recommended with retrofit kits.i don't think the wiring is up to that in standard light units is up to withstanding the voltage of ballasts???and hid's run differently to conventional bulbs.conventional halogen bulbs are more likely to melt the lenses as the light is generated by heat as opposed to hid's burn a gas at a far cooler temperature.

well you guys,i just got back from having a nice new magnex stainless system fitted at r-tec just north of london, and wow!it is oh so quiet, for the mrs,but too quiet for me ~ the roar of my powerflow system was awsome!but now it's gonna have to go!if anyone wants it,i'll take no less than £100 for it.however!i have another problem now!my cat has long departed the world of exhaust systems,as when the new pipe was fitted, the fitter noticed there was no sign of the internals being attached as should be so i now have to get either a new cat @£204.00 or a de-pipe@£79.00????some of my mot certifi

i use zymol.i tried meguires and found it nowhere near as good.each to their own i say!i always follow the instructions to th bottle and my car looks stunning!i get more complements about the paint than ever having changed to it.the thing i notice you need to do with zymol is to "balance" the wax after applying it with a damp cloth!i then wash the car with zymol shampoo and hey presto!one smooth looking vr!!!!!! 8o) -
part no.vag 251965561B cost:£55.42 incl.vat from your main stealer!!!!

i never paid 130 for mine

hmmmmmmm!mine has dizzy, and the block i have got coming is coilpack!the dizzy is mechanical, and the coilpack is electric?so if i was to use my ecu, etc.then surely i'd need to fit a dizzy to the coilpack engine?entailing what?
-
my fans are always coming on!i reckon everytime i switch off they kick in as well!my needle never gets to 100!mine always sits just under 90.these engines give off masses of heat, hence why it's so important to regularly change the oil in them!also worth checking your electric water pump works, too!i found mine was all broken inside when i checked mine prior to going down to devon!now runs a tad cooler!

didn't think that the obd1 and 2 engines were similar!what about the dizzy on the obd1 as opposed to the obd2 being coil pack?????now i'm confused!!!! %-6

i notice that the wires leading to the maf sensor, and possibly the lambda sensor and possibly another sensor, appear to come out of the bulkhead near to the servo.i was wondering whether these are in fact a common item between the two engines, and that they infact won't need changing, just the ecu under the windscreen and the loom to the block are all that are needed?
-
well hi all, just got back from a breakof 2 weeks and bought a late spec coil pack engine(loom and brain included) and wondered if it's an easy swap into my early spec vr???any help or pointers would be gladly appreciated!also, looking to sell my early spec engine if anyone's interested???
