well, when i get back from my 2 week trip to devon and cornwall,i'll be looking to get my car rubbed down and sprayed!smoothed bumpers, vented wing, smoothed bonnet, smoothed hatch, arch trims removed, arches pulled and rolled, and highline spec rubbing strips.all for £900.00.not bad eh?the guys just done my kamei grill ready for run to the sun in Newquay, and it looks the dogs!!!cant wait till later in the year for my charger, and my private plate to go on too! 8o)

my car desperately needs looking at!i'm in sussex or surrey!car's leaving black spots on the tailgate and soot all round the exit of the tailpipe!!!!07770746231 if anyone local can help!

i love the way the vr sounds and goes, however!tvr?run of the mill?????geastb????cos i see loads of tvr's on the roads round my way!!!!m3's granted.loads of them but tvr's???i suppose nobles are as common as muck too!!!!i know that if i had the money,i'd sooner have a tvr than a vr!!!however nice to drive a vr is!no offence meant by the way, just find that statement a bit hard to take in!

that chirp may be annoying but it stops the aresholes out there from messing with your car!why do you think them cars at inters have them fitted?i have mine fitted and have no problems!!! -

Brakes - best ones to get?
wilko-vr6 replied to Geastb's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
standard brakes on a vr are getting close to near shit in performance!ever wondered why the later mk3's have slightly bigger discs?bigger diameter discs surely work better than smaller?!?!?!granted i'm not a fan of discs with grooves or drillings.however,if you put braided hoses on,and a set of tt calipers and discs,i'm sure they must be as progressive as oe brakes, and as for warming up,you can't have performance without sacrificing a little warming up period eh????i know what i'd rather have stopping me!i'll keep you posted on my 315 mm disc conversion(compared to my 280 discs at present!) -
surely give it 2 months eh?only we are not all rolling in the money?houses to run etc!!!!
-
what did you use to clean it with????mines coming off tomorrow!!!!!!
-
not sure.not tried it as i find mer's blackener to be very good!in a pale blue bottle bought from halfords.it's a kind of green!?!??! gel,but works very well!!!!
-
wonder tyres stay shiny for about a week!!!!and when it rains,it looks like you have waxed your tyres too!the water all beads off them!a tip!i always dress my tyres 10 minutes before i wash the car!trust me!the stuff is better than auto glym!!!the only stuff that comes near to wonder tyres is tyre silk(a green spray can)HOWEVER!!!!! i do not recommend buying this product unless you find a can with an 'L*******' serial number on it otherwise you will only ever use a 3rd of the can!!!!!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!
-
hey!veeha!i use wonder tyres!!!!the stuff is awesome!!!!just thought i'd answer you question re:tyre protectant

Brakes - best ones to get?
wilko-vr6 replied to Geastb's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
audi tt discs?315mm dia.i'm thinking of doing that route!think standard,ie.not grooved or drilled are about £70.00 from ecp?then either make some brackets for your old calipers,or better still, grab yourself some tt calipers?????just a thought! -
well i didn't need to have the alarm fitted for insurance purposes.just for security, and with intellistart set up correctly.........flat battery?what flat battery????????
-
worthing lad down on the south coast, but my mrs lives in crawley so mainly up that way
-
i'd be up for a shrick manifold
-
but thats the whole point!no one can nick my car even though with all the gadgets on it and it stops it from being cat 1!!!would rather keep my car than lose it!ask six appeal about the day he gott run off the road to nick his car off him!if he had my alarm,he could have opened the door, legged it and with the engine still running, they could not have knicked it!!!!instead he wrote of 2 tyres, and a rim if i remember rightly!!!!!
-
well i think you'll find zymol is made from ingredients other than petrol and silicons hence is far better for the paint work!i have used all the waxes from auto glym, and the shit meguire's makes and believe me,the cheap £10.00 bottle of zymol from halfords is far better and that is really only a cleaner wax!!!!!my vr is tornado red and really benefits from a good wax!!!!people think i've had a re-spray!LOL!
-
so come on guys any pointers what i should be looking to get my car to tick over higher????
-
i got a 600 with remote start and it's bloody good!!!!!i dare anyone to try nick my wheels!!!!!or for that matter, nick the car with the engine running and no keys!or better still, nick the car with the engine running and the keys!!!!!!!!not giving away all the tricks it has,but i promise you,you can't nick the car with the keys in the ignition, engine running too!!!!!costly, but worth it.also,if you get the remote start,if you forget to switch your lights off when you go to work, the battery gets low on power, the car will start up to charge it up!how cool is that!?!?!and if you have a/c,imagine ho

i'd use magnatec every time mate!my local vag dealer uses syntra in there servicing yet when you talk to the mechanics there, most of them use magnatec.remember though, magnatec will cost you a lot more than syntra semi, which is possibly why most of us stick to using syntra.
