    you can but it takes effort and it quickly becomes a pita cruise control is a god send when wafting the vr6 is FAAAAAAR smoother to drive

    dont get me wrong theyr a better car than the vr iv got both lol im sellin the vr to supercharge the r32 475-490 hp when its done but it just isnt as special as the vr6 it doesnt sound as good for a start regarding the throttle response vw deliberatly made it incredibly twitchy to give the illusion of immense power ie 2% throttle = about 90% power its hideous imho the only good thing about it is heel and toe (i turn my feet outwards not inwards like everybody else does) is fantastic with it bein so twitchy but for driving normally its horrible sooooo easy to kangaroo down the road

    60-100 mph a stock vr6 (obd1 too!) was proven to be a smidge quicker than an escort cossie no shit if you prefer the gt mate thats fine its personal taste at the end of the day. a schrick manifold makes a HUGE diffrence to midrange torque vw developed the car with it (called the vsr) then took it off cuz it cost too much lol they then sold the design to schrick who make them theyr called schrick vgi i had 1 on mine ages ago it made 230 lb ft!!! but ultimately fi is the way to go as the sky really is the limit
