    what kit is it mate? do you keep the aircon pump? im probably gonna end up with rotrex stage 1 which is 475 hp including low comp pistons im gonna follow this thread carefully

    im gettin around 24-25 in the r the vr is a fair bit better especially on a run

    nope but how does it drive dont forget the supposedly heavy mk3 vr6 weighs 1155kg thats 50kg less than a civic type r!

    yeh itl be around 230-240 wheel hp mate

    should be around the 290 hp at the crank mate thats somewhere around 230-240 at the wheels

    good results mate if the lambdas buggered i think the ecu overfuels deliberatly this does cause black/fouled plugs

    mine goes to 20 psi word of advice dont get a big pod like that its a big blind spot i had 1 for a month or so and it was horrid ditched it for a single thing that sticks to the top of the dash in the corner doesnt look as good but its a hell of alot better to drive with

    my understanding of solid lifters are that you only need them over 7200 ish rpm because hydraulic valves bounce because they dont react fast enough why 263 cams and not 268s or higher mate? i had them on my vr lost no low rpm torque but they held the torque alot better at higher rpm

    as above lol if it is go to ford say its for a galxy v6 (its a sharan which has a vr6 in it) youl pay £25 ish instead of £80+ that vw want

    the 200 mile drive THERE will be fun if mine was anythin to go by haha big clouds of black smoke and about 10 mpg whilst goinf nowhere near the throttle lol

    the theory is right fella but in real world terms it makes no discernable diffrence iv ran mine with and without heatwrap and apart from the obvious engine bay temp i saw no diffrence
