    youll knacker it long term when cold all the tolerances are out due to diffrent metals expanding diffrently basically the pistons dont fit the bores properly piston slap is a bad case of this

    i did my 1st interclub last sunday iv been doin thai boxin for 15 months ish my opponent has been doin chinese kickboxing for 6 years it was his 4th fight lol for the 1st minute i was doin fine holding my own no problems then he hit me with a kick iv never heard of let alone seen.its called a horse kick you spin round off the spot like tkd whilst spinning you kick your heel backwards he hit me absolutely perfect absolutely NAILED me. i hit the deck in real pain my lungs didnt work at all couldnt breath in or out for a very long feww secs dragged myself off the floor and very nearly passed out

    if he cains it before its upto temp hes a goon and he WILL kill it if on teh other hand he looks after if then teh vr is an extremely strong engineand will put up with alot of stick for a long time

    have you put a socket holder in or jjust soldered direct to the pcb? i broke some print on mine when i fitted a chip/holder it was a nervy 2 hours repairing the print at work i can tell you lol

    analogue (ie needle) gauges are better for showing things like boost spikes and any variations in boost mate and theyr plenty sensitive/accurate enough

    we will prep the track but it wont have a full on euro finals type prep as you guys wont really need it does that mean its gonna be better or worse than a public road? summer fest last year was good grip hence my 13.6 in the vr the rwyb earlier this year the track was shocking i went in a stock r32 and anything over 4k rpm launches = sat on the rev limiter spinning all 4 wheels it was terrible and worse than a wet public road 1 good thing about naff all grip it means its nicer on clutches and gearboxes lol

    it had a backbox but bugger all else iv got the cat for mot time ps the exhaust is sitting in the garage atm if you want it make me a sensible offer it isnt too loud when driving normally (although it does pop very nicely) but really roars when you open the taps i had the exhaust on for a while when i got the charger heres a vid at the pod from my mates 280bhp scooby if you listen on the run you can hear me comin till i missed 3rd gear lol

    i got dougherty racing cams 268 duration cant fault em id recomend fitting new tappets while your at so they all bed in together your engine will love you for it mine did oh and depending on oil use/mileage id get the valve stem seals done while your at it thats what i got done along with the chain tensioners lol

    i ran a 1 box exhaust ind kit and decat pipe without a remap it made 198 bhp it pinked a little with a schrick then i sold the sschrick and eventually got cams and a remap it then made 220 bhp with 215 lb ft personally i wouldnt bother remapping with your mods but if you do get cams and/or a schrick id DEFFO get it mapped mate hope this helps

    if its the older obd1 type of golf then yes it will fit youd be better off fitting the throttle body too. the diffrence in the manifold is the obd1/corrado will flow a bit better at high rpm so youl gain a little bit of bhp but youl probably lose a little low rpm torque as regards cams 268 degrees is the favorite dougherty racing make them alot cheaper than schrick and they are very good i had a set i didnt lose any low down torque but gained hp because it pulled much better into the limiter you will need a remap for the cams though hope that heklps
