    its torque that stresses clutch/gearbox bugger all to do with bhp mate the vr makes very good toque even at low revs short answer ur clutch is knackered lol

    anybody know an manufacturer that put big engines (2.5l+) in small cars before the mid 90s i know of metro 6r4 but that doesnt really count as it was group b monster i also know alfa (3.2) ford st (2.5) and clio (3.0) do now but cant think of any older cars

    cav turbos r very unreliable no way would i swap a vr for 1 the transfer boxes go regularly (4wd) and cost around £1500 to fix iirc they aint slow but its a deffo backward step imho

    imo the golf can look classy (as opposed to chavvy) it can never be stunning (which i dont mind 1 little but) its the engine that gives the car its character and ooooohh what a character
