Cheers Shail, how much did it cost you at Stealth?
-
Guys, I really appreciate all of the help and advice that's been given and it's given me a few options which I'll have to have a think about. A couple of people have shown an interest in the rolling shell as well so that's another option. What a great site, and a great bunch of people. Thanks again.

Mechanic has been back on and I just don't think that I can afford to pour more money into the car. Even if I do get a cheap engine (cheers guys btw) it looks like the labour costs will cripple me.

Well, after my wife brought my VR6 home saying it was making a 'funny noise' I had it checked out at my local garage. It's thrown a bearing in the engine which has damaged it beyond economical repair :-( It's my pride and joy and really don't want to see the car go!! Does anyone know of a place that supplies VR engines at a reasonable price? I appreciate any help anyone can provide on this. Cheers.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement fob case for the Conlog remote alarm fob? The internals are working but the case is knacked. Cheers.

It was a test and you have passed it successfully Having a bad day at work so mustn't have been looking hard enough, it's hard to google when your boss is hanging about %-6;-) Cheers

I've googled but can't find any SWG side skirts for my 5dr VR6. Can anyone recommend a good site to get them from please? Cheers, Ed

Went to B&Q and they only had normal epoxy resin and hardener - not the high temperature stuff. The only stuff I could see that was water proof and okay up to 120oC was some super glue called EXTREME. Do you reckon this would be the same or is it just the epoxy that I need?
-
Cheers guys, I'll give the epoxy a go - I've got nothing to lose. Thanks for all your help/suggestions Ed

Has anyone got a "How To" on removing and fittig a coil pack on a '95 olf VR? Mine has been doing the chuggy thing and I've just tested it by spraying fine mist on the coil pack while it's running and there were sparks outside of the pack. !sad Also, can anyone recommend somewhere to buy the coil pack other than the dealers? Thanks Guys.

The are 15" Pilot Sport Exalto's lol - I don't wheelspin everywhere - just most places ;-) I'll get my tracking checked as it sounds like that's the problem. How much are rally540's and goodyears at the moment? Cheers guys. Ed

How long do your tyres last on your VR? I bought 4 Michelin pilot sports in August and now the fronts are close to illegal. The guy at the Michelin garage says that my tracking is out - but I thought the tracking would affect 1 side of the tyre - my tyres are worn equally across the tyre. I knew the VR was going to be expensive to run but I can't be spending £170 for 2 front tyres every 4 months. Any recommendations for long life tyres? Cheers

Thanks everyone. Tandino - Cheers for recommending Performance Solutions - Oliver is class. Got myself a Jetex system with twin 80mm rounds tailpipes. Can't wait to fit it - should be tomorrow. I'll stick some pictures up when done. Also got some clear side repeaters - D'oh wrong ones, I got the square edged ones instead of the rounded edge ones.
