  3. Yes boys and girls those of you who have been watching channel Bampson know that the plan was to swap a knackered obd1 engine and retro fit a obd2 engine, and at the same time changing from auto to manual.. Well after lots of assing around Frankenstein has breathed life.. !amazed The problem I still have is that the ECU needs to be tricked into thinking that the car is in park . %-6 That means attaching the old auto gear stick (just to the wiring) and a module from the auto box had to be taken out and attached to the wiring. The question is does any one know how to bypass both of these

  14. I have a question for the more knowledgeable of you out there in VR6 land.. I plan to swap my knackered OBD1 engine for a OBD2 engine but retro fit it back to OBD1 (if that makes any sense).. The first problem I have come across is that the person who removed the new engine. broke one of the exhaust manifold studs. Trying to get it out I have broken three stud extractors. After all that I had a brain wave to use the manifolds from the old engine on the new engine. The problem is the old engine?s manifolds have a tube that connects them together where as the new engine?s ones don?t. D

  19. but a with all VW's the bumper fits to the slam panel so provided you have a mk4 cab slam panel it should work.. would be a different look for sure ..
  20. a bit off topic but .. i was told that the MK4 Cab is actualy a facelifted MK3 so if you put MK4 Cab wings on you can fit the MK4 bumper (R32 style ) can anyone confirm this ???
