  1. yeah its standard ecu obd1 setup this has been tuned with bosch 440cc injectors and an enlarged maf housing using tt maf sensor
  2. not too sure why its different mine is obd1, might be worth asking stealth about the code, have you tried another cam sensor worth a go to see if the fault comes up
  3. Yeah will sell it what pulley you running now - what boost you at
  4. my old v9 with 12psi pully made 337hp so compression and pistons etc will be fine, cooling is always good you want to be blowing cool air in makes so much difference on boost loss not sure what 70mm will do be interesting though will update once i get the numbers
  5. Using a 8:1 compression spacer with mk4 12v metal gasket sandwiched so its 8.5:1 Rotrex is smaller and quieter plus no belt slip issues as it uses the factory tensioner With factory OBD1 management and standard pistons it pulled 430hp / 18psi and thats with signs of piston wear Bottom End now has Wossner Pistons, H Beam Rods so might go for 70mm pulley
  6. Update. Needed to sort a few things like tired valve springs (7500 limiter), better exhaust and dodgy alternator but ended up doing all this… Slowly did all the work over the last few months myself as there was no rush and saved some cash It’s now back up and running checked everything over and its all good so happy I gave it a go
  7. Cheers matey might see a bit more once 2.5 exhaust / bosch injectors are in Cant wait to see yours mate when do you reckon it will be up and running
  8. Had a Vortech then a Rotrex, Rotrex is another level the Vortech could never reach, power at over 400 hp and 330 torque + its smaller lighter quieter and no belt slip issues... depends what your power goal is Here is my setup:
  9. Check out videos its all about getting the power down [LINK=http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j272/b5vwc/Charged%20Corrado/?action=view&current=BOOST.flv][/LINK]
  10. Update after about 1000 miles and **** loads of V Power Had a few issues with radiator & bonnet Cable but all sorted now Did run lean at idle for a while so really rough idle, replaced damaged maf sensor and added mesh to housing Replaced VDO gauges They’re not just for show check numbers still hitting some nasty boost
  11. cheers mate the charger can only be fixed that way - the oil feeds connect to the top if mounted any other way it will not get the oil supply properly
  12. yep turbo will always feel faster and is faster the main difference is the torque bump between 3-5k superchargers dont come close... its great having loads of torque on paper but on the road the driver/engine/gearbox has to be able to handle it and control it otherwise its wasted the rotrex gives something different but can still make big power
  13. Dyno Plots below – torque is a lot better now BHP: 402.4@6676rpm (Hot Run) Torque: 330.5@5960rpm Pulls hard through all gears… from 2k it starts to boost, by 5.5k I’m seeing 10psi… that’s pretty good for a charger… but after 5k it goes mental I cant even look at the boost gauge just hold on and keep eyes on the road…revs up to 7250rpm Yeah 400 hp is a lot but its not about that number it just delivers the power so it can be controlled as theres no torque spike just balanced
  14. its a 85mm pulley but you can go higher someone had over 20psi on the rotrex here before
  15. Kalv - yeah pop down bro anytime Setup does cost some £££ but then not as much for the power i got, started with the engine/transmission around 2 years back and built it up from there The schimmel intake/cooler/cams make a big difference but with the vortech even though it got 337hp with 12.5psi it then struggled to boost above 10psi with belt slip and it had limits... the difference in torque is 260vs330 so the rotrex is lethal and delivers alot stronger throughout the rev range ...but its the whole setup which i dont think anyone else has thats got the results in the end - I will get a sp
  16. Got my Dyno results today now fitted with a Rotrex Supercharger pushing out around 17psi – this thing is dangerous Had it mapped a few weeks back and got 333BHP/285LB-FT but the fuelling was poor – fuelling was adjusted and pulled out 379BHP/305LB-FT with the OE Cams & just Red Tops maxxed out Dropped in the Delphi 440’s and 263 Cams and hit 330lbs/ft@5960rpm with the main difference coming from 3000rpm and then gets stronger from there stays at 300lbs+ from 5000-7000 Will get better pics and plots in a few days - cold start idle is almost done
  17. Got the car back now and its awesome the numbers don’t mean a lot on the rollers as it delivers the power better on the road giving the wheels a chance and then take offs pulls really strong – with 3.68 final drive I’m always in the power band too and sounds evil Here is a quick run down of the setup: -Vortech V9 Stage Two Charger, 12psi pulley, 7 rib double sided belt -Stealth Custom Remap with ISV & MAF / Rev Limiter advanced to 7400 rpm -Schimmel Chargecooler with 3 Gallon Tank in boot, Pre-rad mounted in bumper -Schimmel Shortrunner Intake - Red Top Injectors – FSE Regulator
  18. My Corrado is now Charged and with the Schimmel Intake & Chargecooler im getting 337bhp@7237rpm Chargecooler is superb i didnt want to just put a charger on and then suffer warm air induction and poor running Vince says its running as well as any charged setup he has seen i just need to see how it delivers the power on the road Im running 12psi with MAF and fabricated ISV for stable cold idling...
