    I really wouldn't have my VR if I didn't have a garage. I'm too paronoid as it is! It's such a shame you can't keep a car in the street without it being damaged but its a sad fact of life these days

    Why don't people take the time to read the forum history? This site is getting full of duplicate after duplicate posts. I mean, asking the question, 'Has anyone ever charged their VR?' is a bit of a silly question!!! I'm not trying to be an arse here guys but it's so easy to do a search on chargers and turbos on this forum, and every time I look on here people are discussing the same topics over and over again! This is a friendly site and I'm not trying to cause upset, but this thread and another one about a broken oil breather pipe has again been raised (for at least the 5th time this month!)

    I'd get all your bits on first then have the car mapped to what you do. I've just had my whole engine re-built and bored to 2.9, I was going to get it mapped but I have just bought a charger and thought I'd have it all done at the same time. Deffo go for a map from Stealth as Vince can now map a standard ECU, a custom map to the characteristics of the car is far superior

    I was funny, the chavs that owned it were all over it with old towels rubbing it down. It was the worst looking car on the day. I would have loved to have presented them with a trophy saying so!!

    Riggs, give me a PM. I've sent you one. I know a guy in Shelf, near Bradford, he's fcuking brilliant and I wouldn't trust anyone else with the VR! I've given three cars for him to paint in the last 6 months, he's done plenty of cover cars and because I keep putting work his way, he'll do you a good deal

    Urrrmmm, do you not read any of the performance mod posts mate?!! 1-1.5 grand? That'll get you a decent 2nd hand charger. May need to put a bit to it for the remap though. Just like me!!!

    Mark, I'm sure the mods were done after the shot with the plastics on as they must have been removed for all the new inlet and fueling, but the turbo just doesn't look right??!! I have looked at John Chantry's MK2 R32 in some detail and his inlet manifold used to hit the bonnet! He would never be able to fit a turbo on the back of the engine thats that big!!!

    I keep looking at some of the pictures and something doesn't seem right. I can't quite put my finger on it but something seems wrong. Everyone says they've seen the car thats clear to me. 1. The pic with the 24 valve plastics on the engine seems funny. 2. It looks like the printout has been altered 'Mint GTI' is not in dot matrix text. 3. (and most importantly) I just don't see how the fuckin bonnet would close with the turbo sat on the back of it like that. I may just be being stupid but after Simons little ordeal with the 'Americans' and I know if someone is handy with Photoshop how amazing

    The turbo is real but you are right, that intercooler does not look right!

    Not much'll be staying with that bad boy! It has been done beautifully. I can think of alot of other things I'd rather have for 12k though.

    Feckin hell Warren, you've got the bug bad man! It's gonna look even better than it does! Just an after thought mate, I've been hearing some stories about cages and insurance problems. Have you had any issues?

    Very strong those mate. I had a Renault 5 GT Turbo run up the back of me last year. It totally wrote the front of it off!! Front mounted intercooler all over the road, wings and bonnet half way up the windscreen!! The VR, scratch on the bumper!!! hehehe
