    No mate it's the whole assembly from the rocker cover to my power roar, thats the plastic round disk (breather) and the pipe work that goes with it. I do actually have the rubber pipes but I think they come with it.

    Hi guys, After having my engine played with more times than a Vietnamese hoe it is now fully opperational in 2.9 form and I'm running it in. Thing is my bloody oil breather is screwed, it is split completely and I am in need of a new one. I originally thought about just getting a K&N breather but as I told Mark earlier today, I put one on my rocker cover at the weekend with a jubilee clip and as I drove it up the road I gave it a bit of throttle and it blew the thing off completely, all that was left was the clip and a ripped bit of the rubber hose!     I'm pretty sure the RA2 has GPS sites stored for 'Favourite' mobile van sites and it flags up as 'Temporary Safety Camera' its never said mobile unit or anything to me.

    If your VR was cold it will have been on choke and will be over fueling. (spluttering could be damp leads. Was it a damp morning?) Nothing to worry about if was a mixture of black/grey-ish sootie smoke. On the other hand it could be valve stem oil seals as they will leak oil when cold and on the overrun if they are worn. Look for the dredded blue smoke and smell of oil not fuel.

    I'm just having mine re-built mate. The one thing I am having done is having it bored out to 2.9 and having forged pistons put in. The engine needed a rebore and it was only another £60 for oversized forged pistons ontop of standard ones. Bores were £25 a bore whatever they were bored too so it was a no brainer realy. Be advised, if you are going to lighten the flywheel it may run slighty rough at idle and can also loose speed on a long pull because the fly wheel doesn't carry as much centrifugal weight (it will rev alot more freely though). Not sure what effect the crank work will do but if

    God my eyes hurt after reading all that!! All I can say is: 'The cheap route isn't usually the best!!!' Lesson 1: Buy a secondhand Charger and fit it yourself or Lesson 2: Go straight to a reputable tuner and throw loads of money at them!! (if you have it!!) End of todays class!

    65k and it's fucked!!! It's all down to how the cars been driven and maintained mate. I had badly carbonised pistons and this caused excessive bore ware. Apparently the car was not driven enough to even warm up before I bought it and this does not do the engine any good at all! Every high mileage VR I know runs like silk. Hopefully mine will after its brand new rebuild and 3.0 rebore
