I've not looked under the bonnet when it's running - it seems to clear itself so i "hope" it's either Plugs or leads, but then again i guess Coilpack isn't out the question...... Is that an expensive item to replace then?

HELP! My Car is due a service - which is going to be done this week, but i just want to put my mind at rest that it's nothing serious really........... When i got in the car this morning and started it up from Cold, it was really lumpy and idling around 900rpm, it felt like it wasn't firing on all cylinders, if i raised the revs slightly it would go away just above 1k rpm, but driving up the road shortly afterwards it was still doing it I even got a couple of small reasonably quiet pops where it sounds like it's misfiring. Is this likely to be cured simply by replacing the Leads and Plugs? Or

lol i definitely agree about the Bumper!! I was expecting to see a price of £6k that's all, i personally didn't think it was that bad for the money........ but i guess we all have our opinions lol

lol - can't really see Seats being a big factor! I paid £3700 for my standard car with 80k, it was a 1997 3 door black but i think £4k for his car sounds quite realistic personally (even with the seats ;-) )

Why is £4k such a rip off?? Surely a modded VR6 with 79k miles is worth that money?!??

Any FWD car with 175bhp in the Wet will Wheel Spin in 1st I don't care what anyone says about tyres - if your car is not spinning at all when flat out in 1st, there's something wrong with it - definitely can't be hitting the right BHP/Torque figures, it's just a matter of physics

I don't have a Footrest (1997 Non Highline), but would definitely have one if that part number's right - my last two cars were so comfortable on a run purely because they had a footrest!

I'll put some pics up this afternoon for you, but it's the sound that's most impressive - i'll try and record a clip also if i get the chance! Stu - it's pretty loud mate, i can't deny it - but then again if you don't put your foot flat to the foor it's not as bad so at least the options there

Well, it turned up yesterday morning so when i got in last night i thought i'd at least have a look at what sort of job it is so i could attempt it at the weekend............ BUT being the impatiend git that i am, and realising just what an easy job it would be the Filter was bolted on in a matter of minutes. Two mins later and i've got to go out anyway so down the road we go (still warm as i'd not long been in) Changed to 2nd and put my foot down................ one word came out of my mouth - WOW! Can't believe how good the car sounds, seems a little bit more responsive but obviously the -1

I paid £3700 for my Standard 97 VR6 (3 door, Non highline), but would have snapped your hand off for £5500 - Seriously! Looks stunning, best of luck with whatever you decide.

What do you think of these wheels? 16" Rial's, if the car's slammed do you reckon they'd suit or are 16"s just too small? OR - These in 17" but i'm not sure....... [ Edited ]

Any update on these? Anthracite finish would look nice on a black car, there's a Black RS6 near me with the wheels painted Anthracice, looks hard as FCUK! I can get the RS6 Rims in 18" with Tyres for around £600 Delivered. Are they available in 17"?? -
That's insane!!! No wonder they don't feel very quick........ My Dad's Skoda is only Fwd so i guess that has 1/2 the Transmission loss of the TT explaining why it seems as quick?? What about the 3.2 with that DSG box? I've heard good things about that!

I've driven my Parents 225TT and it's DOG SLOW - My Dad's 180bhp Skoda Octavia VRS Feels faster to drive! Once moving i expect you'll beat him, but as you say off the line is going to be hard.....

23m/pg is the lowest i've seen so far on my car, and that was after sitting in loads of traffic on my way to work! So far i'd say it's been better then i expected, but i have tried to be careful to save as much on fuel as possible etc....
