any online shops sell good oil?
stu h replied to fritzenberg's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
carraige costs would be high due to weight. your local vw dealership will do quantum silver at a resoectable price. GSF may do it through onine ordering -
lol, sorry mate, just using it as a comparison that the figures on the day weren't wildly exaggerated - i.e everyone wasn't putting out high figures - just remember your figure for some reason. did you get it sorted in the end? is the car running better now?

here is the results thread for anyone who's interested... http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?48619.0

lol, who could blame me!! seriously tho, I sold the VR as I had a hankering for a mk2 again. I'd have preferred a 16v but this 8v one was faaar too good to pass up on. on the day at stealth, there other cars there running shricks, re-maps, (no superchargers mind!). I think in comparison Mr. Bens was running a schrick and got 196 bhp on the day. I'll try and dig the link out to the results thread if i can find it.

aye! 8) now I'm down to 112bhp !shy need to do something about that!
-
my '92 car did 195bhp @ the last vr6oc rolling road day with just a filter

you have to drill the rivets out and as VR monster said, you need to get the CL rubbing stiprs. I just sold a set.

Same wheels - different tyre size. Dangerous?
stu h replied to kempj1's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
the eagle f1's on my mk2 are holding up pretty well, I can definately reccomend them. -
you could ask a garage or maybe a local bodyshop to do it, bodyshop would be better but I've no idea how many hours labour would be in it. just collect up the bits you need, speak to stockers he's done it recently, and see ho much they will charge. It's not too diffucult, just a bunch of bolts and screws really. and of course re-fitting is reversal of removal

just think of all the free info you get? how much money have you saved yourself and how much you'll save in the future lol, lecture over. cadguy - you'd admit on a public forum that you drink smirnoff ice !grr !lol

out with the BLUE in with the BLACK
stu h replied to stockers's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
whoever thought up the blue dash should be beaten with their own shoes. looks its worst in silver cars. stockers, put your interior on ebay, should get a few quid back for it. comone who doesn't have a gti - to upgrade their seats -

cool, glad you got it all sorted mate! -
I'd probably go for the tdi, if you've got the option - stick a couple of toys on it for an extra few quid a month. a guy i work with was determined to get a 1 series bmw company car, I managed to talk him into test driving an A3 TDI, got one and- he absolutely loves it!!
