just follow the cable from the catch back towards the bulkhead its easy to find, just put a couple of tie wraps on it

changed the dash today, got everything undone bar the two bolts in the front scuttle. pulls the bonnet release ... and nothing happened could not open the bonnet, could hear a noise in the middle of the front wing but no way was the bonnet opening...had to rip of the grill and cut a plastic guard in front of the catch and remove the 2 bolts holding the catch to the bonnet and the stay that stops it moving forward to release it, not a fun job and not in the middle of an involved job either. turns out that my bonnet cable is in 2 pieces that join in a plastic shroud this had come open and the ca

check the taper of the bolts if they arnt the same the wheels will come undone . -
koni eibach combo is probably the most often quoted , i have koni adj.and am pleased with that. cant use the coilovers as it wont get up the drive

yep i got obd1 as well, the orrible blue dash 1. just waitin for the weather then dash , carpets and trim gets binned.

does anyone have the orrible blue dash (obd) and not have the dizzy, wondered whether the two were connected so it would be easy to tell what you are looking at. maybe the switch from blue to black corresponded to the coil pack intro. sorry if this is obvious or been covered, but may help the buyers guide compilation pete.

think you need to remove the clips in the channels to fit 10mm leads warren , once done tho ure stuck with em . get em back and tell them they were misdescibed

low mileage engine wear was due to a phenomenon called bore wash but to be honest new cars with fuel injection because they are more ac\curate dont do it like older cars with chokes, cars onchoke run rich and the exess fuel literally washed the oil from the bores low miles mean lots of short journeys so the car is on choke more often. see history lessons from a car site, if any of u had a mini bet u used a peg to keep the choke out till the car was warm.

get some brasso wadding clive it is really good for keeping stuff shiny really easily , get the wadding tho not the liquid , always used it on polished frames
