    right,this is realy bugging me;the left rear of my golf looks like it sits higher than the right,ie i can fit 3 fingers between the tyre and the arch on the left side and i can only fit 1 finger between the tyre and thed arch on the right side,the car is lowered 30mm but it was like this on the standard springs.i had the garage check for any singns of accident damage of which there isn`t any. could it be that one of the socks is bust? cheers

    my cat is on the road out,so is it worth spending the 300 odd quid for a miltek hi-flow or should i just stick with a standard one,what would the power/tourque gains be on a stock lump with a bigger throttle body??

    if you turn the ignition key half way `till the electrics come on,but don`t start engine,open the bonnet and you should hear a buzzing sound coming from the right hand side of the engine,that`s motor in the pump working. so,no buzzing sound = burt out pump. hope this is helps.

    can the air-con system from an obd2 highline be fitted to a non-air con obd1,what`s the deal with the ecu? if i supplied all the parts how much do u reckon it would cost to fit? p.s. and yes i know it`s a c**t of a job cheers

    i got a quote the other day for a full re-spray apart from the roof.....£2333...labour is £1500.i`t bit of a fucking joke if you ask me,you could get your house re-wired for less than that.how long does it take to spray a motor,a fucking fortnight or something??

    went to a local bodyshop to get a quote for a respray only to pointed out that one of my rear quarter panels has been renewed at some point,is this a really bad thing and is it worth spending money respraying a car that aint got all the original body panels,or should i just sell the fucker?(how will this affect resale value?) :@ ? it`s annoying coz it`s in bloody good nick otherwise. i feel like such a mug,just wish this site(buyers guide) was on the go when i bought the car. rant over... any advise appreciated.

    well you see this is the problem,i have new lowering springs on and it`s just the same as it was before,except a bit lower of course,i`m starting to think something`s hit it before i got it,if this is the case can it be sorted and how much? thanks

    this has been bugging me for bit now.i`ve noticed that the space between my rear wheels and the arches is different. i.e the right wheel looks closer to the arch than the left. can this be sorted or is something bent beyond repair? when i got the car 2.5yrs ago i got a vw mechanic to check it over and he said it was a good car so what`s the deal?

    if you have small rust spots and you take the car to a bodyshop,do they do anything to the metal so that the rust doesn`t come back,or is the case once rust rears it`s ugly head you are pretty much fu*cked :-( .what`s the deal? ta

    replace oe paper filter with a k&n panel filter and take the cone thingy out of the top part of the airbox
