I had the identical problem - It was a fuse gone (Think it was for the interior lights?!!). Check the fuseboard and see if it is this. Hope this sorts it.

I have got a N reg highline (registered August 95). Judging by the throttle body and square side repeaters, it is OBD1, yet it has a 288mm brake set up rather than 280mm. I am guessing that this was right at the crossing point between OBD1 & 2

So what are the main causes for the ABS light to come on? It sounds like along with quite a few others, I was hoping to just disconnect the ABS light come our MOT. Doesn't sound like this will be so eay to get away with now.

I bought an aerosol spray from paints4u.com, when i needed to touch up a few bits and bobs. That cost about £11 and included a small pot of rubbing compound. Dont know how that compares with Halfords etc, but i was happy with the quality of the paint they provided. All they need is your paint code and they match it up.

Running on 17's - Feels like a tank.
Al J replied to Al J's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Ok. Thanks for the tip. They were supposed to be balanced already, but i will check out. -
Wondering if i can pick a few people's brains: Just fitted some 17's on, with some 205/40/17 tyres. At high speed (over 70 - gasp) i am getting a lot of buffeting through the steering wheel. I dont feel like its out of control, just that i may lose my fillings in my teeth after a few hours on the motorway! Is what i'm experiencing due to the lower profile tyres absorbing less shock from the road, or are there any other problems that these symptons are indicating?

[moved] Burgundy & primer Mk 3 in Bracknell - Is this you ???
Al J replied to Bahnstormer's topic in General Chat
A response is better late than never.... Yeah, I think you saw mine. A bit coy aren't you rob? The primer was a result of rubbing and filling the rust spots. The paint stood out a little didn't it. Anyway got some highline paint from "paints4you" to blend it in some more. The new wheels come tomorrow!! -
Just go to egg.com. You cant miss the insurance section, it is clearly marked. Only thing is.... is the £30 cashback offer expires 31.03.05

I changed to Egg insurance this year. They beat elephant by £150. They also offer interest free credit if you buy the insurance on your egg card and will also give you a £30 discount. I'm 23, 4yrs ncb and the premium was £610 fully comp. It may be worth a look if you have an egg card

Yeah I agree with Andrew. Buckmore is a lot of fun and the karts are fast. Although one of the slowest, i had a lot of fun!

Did he have a rocket strapped to the back? That was awesome footage.

what's the best tuning mods for round £1K
Al J replied to ste-vr6's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
So does the shrick improve 0-60 times only? or are there other benefits to having one fitted? Would port polishing & working on the throttle body provide similar results for the £1k budget?
