I had a good 'un too. Well worth the 385 mile round trip, oh and the toll fees *-) Good to see those who i know and meet some new faces too Pete, get some pics up! Got to charge me batteries, so can't upload! |-)

Filling the bumper and then leaving it at least a day will give you an advantage over sinking, this the only real way to deal with it if you are not plaggi welding or using a high quality resin! But tbh, i have suffered sinking with resin too!

If you are gonna swap from a plaggi one to a alloy one, you will need different bolts!

Just realised the squire cafe meet ain't till the 9th, but am lacking in confidence to me showing up to this one! Sorry al, but i'm completly shagged atm, and i start a new job on mon! Never know tho, ah might surprise ya! -

Started with a 1.3 polo, which i bought for £75! Strayed to a 1.4 ford escort, not a bad little motor for me second car. Then i had a 1.3 triumph acclaim (twin carb) went like the clappers, but the body work died. Then back in to the fold with a 1.3, 4 speed mk2. Then me first 8v GTI, then a 1.8 mk2 16V which i later transplanted a 2l into, a nice and fast mk2. Then of course the VR : )

Shimmel do a short runner in the states. Why not take advantage of the strong UK £££ atm! Thease are tried and tested and worth every penny imo. Couldn't get that link to work : ( Just a front strut brace ATM mate, was looking at some for me mk1, seem to be fairly cheap on e-bay! -

Bear in mind they probably need to be re-tuned at least once a year! and the fuel consumption al , best off with the mighty S and a re-map IMHO!

I just got new standard top mounts when i did mine. Wasn't aware you could get uprated ones TBH, but never looked! Just piece of mind knowing that they were new. Got an OMP strut brace from demon tweeks. -
