  4. If yer in luck steve, the wireing may just be scotch locked together!
  5. Could also be the fuel pump relay, this causes simular probs.

  8. Had 40mm lowering springs on the car when i got it (95 golf) with 15" rimms, was ok, but you can allways improve upon the stock shocks, as they are pants. Koni dampening adj. are a good inexpensive front mod, if you don't wanna go down the coilover route! £110 ea from demon tweeks.

  13. Never had a re-furb kit me sen mate! Just get a re-con unit and send the old one back, probably better and easier in the long run. That way if owt goes wrong, you got some come back!
  14. After removing my rear calipers a month or so a go, the ABS light has remained on! After having the fault codes read, it said it was both rear sensors, but after replacing them tonight, the light remains on! And it comes up with the same two fault codes??? Any ideas ppl? MOT runs out tomorow! Oh joy. What else can it be???
  15. Metal is allways gonna retain heat more than plaggi al, bear in mind the VR suffers massivly from under bonnet heat any way! And with the T.B bieng placed directly above the exhust manifold, i don't think it matters that much? You still get the soak from the mani and from the fact that the bonnet is closed!
  16. If you had a key to the alarm, this would answer your probs mate! You could de-activate the alarm, then re-set the ECU. Is there not a sequence via the fob you can go thru to do this? What alarm system is it?
