    been quoted 190-195bhp for OBD2 (1997 my) VR6 at cost of £282,,,,,,,,, this for standard car, mine got powerflow s/s exhaust and sports cone filter,,, can I expect more bhp than quoted as base rate higher than standard with my set up??? also anyone had good/bad experience with Custom Code?? ta

    I have an ABS error code 1276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump-V64. Now I have the codes can anyone help with what remedial work is required? I erased the ABS code (MOT due!) which turned off the ABS warning lamp until the next time I used the brakes! Help! ta

    I have an Engine error code 533 - Idle Air Control Regulation. Now I have the codes can anyone help with what remedial work is required? I have a mesh sports filter and s/s sports exhaust, otherwise engine side is standard. Help! ta

    Hi, just checked out the musty smell in the missus' 95 GTi (5 door) tracked it to water in boot. Boot mat has soaked it up good, water in recesses for wire clips on rear edge of boot, maybe coming thru lights??? also wiring loom on passenger side soaked it up and (I think) carried water thru rear seats into base of rear seats, anyone experienced this? can anyone confirm its lights or boot seal have checked rear washer pipe and its dry and not broken/cracked.... any ideas appreciated to save an expensive investigation by a garage! cheers

    Hi, I've got a 1997 VR6 3 door, with Weitec lowered sports kit (shocks & springs), what the next thing to tackle? Anti-roll bar? Strut braces? Any advice / experience appreciated, thanks

    Hi, quite often I have to have two attempts at engaging 1st,3rd or 5th gear. Gear lever seems to only go half way. Pain at traffic lights trying to engage 1st, sometimes have to engage 2nd the move back to 1st. No grounching so not syncro issue (although syncro gone on reverse). Happens when engine/g/box cold or hot,,,,, any ideas cheers

    Going on ebay for £10 incl P&P which seems very high to me.... What's a VW replacement part cost?? Is it worth erplacing? What does it actully do apart from earth ya bonnet to the rest of the car... is this just in case ya bonnet gets struck by lightning??? LOL!

    Hi, n/s/r shock leaking so needs replacing. I have a UK Spec Weitec GT kit as speced by C&R Enterprises due to fact that my car has a/c and the German kit (at the time) couldn't cope with the extra weight. they have quoted me £140 a pair (as done 60k miles) incl P&P. Now, as I'm el skinto I want to see what my real options are... please forgive the dumb question but if a kit lowers the car is the shock shorther than standard oem? So, what to do? Any ideas guys?
