    my car was holding back when i floored it took to star performance put it on the rollers only had 135bhp ,they diagnosed hall sender straight away put a new one on 191bhp yepeee

    i agree with matth76 had my miltek on for 5 years never touched it since fitting ,and sounds great ,quite a few of my mates have vr6s at one time with different systems but they all comment on the sound from the miltek he he

    my temp guage has sat at 70 just above the block of white lines for 5 years with no probs .when i bought the car i was concerned with this but was assured by numerous specialists some vr6 run cool and to leave alone .and they where right 70000 miles later

    talked to some specialists who recommend a head rebuild chains and clutch ,but this is starting to push the costs up,mabye after 5 years its time to sell,be sad to see the old bus go , i done 60000 in it in 5 years and its never once let me down.

    i am thinking of supercharging my vr but my car has high mileage[although the engine is sweet as a nut with no rattles or tappity noises]but realise stressing the high milage engine with a supercharger could be the death of it ,what would i have to do to the engine if anything ,would appreciate advise from supercharged owners

    why tell them you have a remap?mods you can see ok ,but not a remap or internal engine mods

    running a kr 16v on 95 unleaded will result in head gasket failure ,read this in golf+ mag.ps ran my valver on magnatec for 10 years with no probs and 257000 miles to prove it he he

    i had mk1 golf gti 1600 for 4 years then black mk2 16v for ten years before buying vr 4 years ago and also have blue valver used to have a fiat abarth ,mad motor he he, mg montego turbo both before i seen the light .

    that hose burst on mine ,cost 58 quid from vw stealers

    mines done 147000 and its smooth as silk still with 191bhp on the rollers he he,service mine every 5k

    the best way to see how well your car is perfoming is to book it in to a vw specialist with a rolling road,a couple of years back my car had a faulty hall sender switch and only had 135bhp on the rollers, after diagnosing hall sender and replacing 191bhp !lol

    i paid £155 from dealer for brand new rad

    theres no problem m8 mine also sits around there or lower for the last 4 years, i was told by dealer and a specialist some vrs run cool.

    just fitted new rims for a different look [black against the red] let me know what you think as i am undecided cheers
