in a way im glad im not the only one getting this problem, cant we just go back to the old ways,or see what its like with out the adverts on the top of page to see if it quickens up?wonder how many others are getting this problem?the site is better with the upgrade just slower.cant have it both ways i suppose?

water mixing with oil will give a white mayonaise apearance,if you do get head done or dont give your water system a good flush through and get rid of that blue collant and replace it with vw g12+ its pink in colour, much better on the engine, dont forget when your engines warm and under pressure the coolant level will be lower as its pressurised mate,a couple of members including myself have noticed the header tank throwing out a bit of water, ive replaced cap and still does it?someone said its the way the vw designed the system?so your not on your own with that one.

i had my chains and clutch done last year but i didnt do iy myself that cost me £800,i believe if your just taking the head of the gearbox dont need droping but you will have to hold the chains up while the heads of to stop it dropping of the spoket.get your compression test done as water leaks for many places, waterpump, thermo housing, coolant pipes, any trace of oil mixing with water?dip stick, filler cap?

original vw keys dont have the red plug in them, only the after keys mate because the origanel are hollow black plastic these can be prised apart,if you did this you would prob see the chip?it looks like a grain of rice only black and with a couple of very small printed numbers on them, the after market keys are moulded solid plastit(coz there cheap)with a cut out in,this is were the chip is inserted into a little red holder and pushed in.
-
maindealers talking crap mate,i got a second spare key with chip a little while ago at a local key cutter, take your key and he will do a copy first then he plugs your original key in the coding machine, takes your key out and puts the new cut key in pushes a button (very technical stuff) and hey presto coded key! the only down side is it wont be a origanal vw key its normaly a plain black key with a little red plug in the side that holds the chip.cost about £15.00.

my hoses are soft untill the car been running for a bit and the pressure has built up then you cant sqeeze them together,i get a bit ot coolant come out of expansion bottle but only if its over filled it then finds its level and doesnt leak.as for the oil cooler it sits at the front of the engine its a square alloy unit with 2 small collant hoses going to it,there prone to leaking oil the seals go and drip oil down the front of the block,as for when they fail i dont know on that one mate what to look for.
