    My front discs are making a lovely grinding noise so they are due for imminent replacement. I dont really need fancy grooved etc as standard set up does me. What I am wondering is are the genuine 288mm VW discs better than the GSF/ECP discs and if so how much do VW charge? As for the pads, any recommendations for the standard set up i.e. certain brands to avoid. Not bothered with fast road etc

    Tell him to get a diagnostic check and once that comes back if it just filters, plugs etc get some money off. My old corrado had Sat still for 2yrs and wouldnt run properly on the way home. I replaced the oil, oil filter (you should have seen the crap in the filter) and plugs ran it for a couple of weeks then changed the oil and oil filter and it ran fine after that.

    Swapped them for the solitudes + cash. To much of a pain in the ass to clean.

    As they are standard width then you should easily get away with 20-25mm adaptors.

    Recently got rid of my BBS and now running the standard Solitudes. Whilst they look ok I was thinking of painting them black to match the car. Any thoughts or pics of other cars like this?

    Should just be stuck on. Try warming it with hot water then peeling off the badge. The only problem is getting the glue etc off the car.

    Keep it at 8". Still think 9" is OTT on most of the VW's.

    If you like that style why not try and find a set of the Mk4 V6 fourmotion as they are very similar and fit straight on.

    Looks good! I really should polish my car more. Are the rears smoked or just normal crystals? Whats size tyres are you running?

    I dont think BMC are that loud. The induction kit only really makes a noise when the engine is under load. As for sitting at 100 I cannot rememeber the rpm but I dont think it would be that noticable.

    I have just swapped my BBS for some standard highline wheels but the tyres are balloon like 205/55/15's. I know 205/50/15's are standard but has anybody run 195/50/15's instead? Would there be much difference?

    Theres a guy interested in my 16" BBS and wants to swap them for his 6 spoke BBS highline wheels. How much are these highline wheels worth in decent conditions with tyres?

    I seem to remember that there is a plastic pipe a couple of inches in diameter that is screwed to the front of the airbox. Surely this will direct air onto the filter as it is still there when the airbox is removed.

    I have got myself a second hand cone filter and I know you are better with the BMC etc but I cannot justify spending that much on a filter. What I would like to do is first of all have a so called cold air pipe that direct air from the front of the car onto the filter. What have people done in the past. Pic would be good. I will probably look at making a BMC style filter in future i.e. locting the filter where the carbon canister is. Has anybody done this before? Does my air-con have any impact on this?

    Will a cone filter from a Corrado VR fit a Golf VR?

    There is an ebay auction for remus centre exhaust section that replaces the middle and centre silencer boxes. I like the OE exhaust pipes so this appeals to me. Has anybody done anything like this before and does it make a difference? Will the exhaust note increase dramatically?

    Black is the new eh ..... black. Is that a Highline? I thought about adding the side skirts to mine as I think its just too plain. I notice you have the later front splitter on as well instead of the early one in your sig, why?
